If you’re planning a trip to Philly, you cannot miss a trip to Brownies Irish Pub on 2nd Street in Olde City! Fabulous bar! They do allow smoking, so if this bothers you, you’re going to miss out on a great bar! Pool tables and dart boards upstairs put it on separate jukebox. Down below on the first floor I want atmosphere with tons of barstools and a jukebox. Lois, one of the owners, frequently comes out with little appetizers for her guests. She’s a hoot! Bartenders are fast and friendly. Plenty of restaurants all around. They even let you order from restaurants and bring it in or have it delivered! Fun crowd here!…

This is a great little irish pub except for that they still allow smoking inside. I would come back and spend more time at this little dive if it wasn't for the smoking. I believe it is also the oldest Irish pub in the city, country? I don't know, but the drinks were stiff and the bartender was friendly.…

We stopped by this Irish Pub but could hardly get in the door. The smell of smoke is ver strong and we had to leave just based on this.

Popped in when other neighborhood establishments filled up with children. Thankfully children are not allowed in this old-school Irish pub, where smoking is allowed and there are ashtrays in the bathrooms. Good beer selection and pleasant, effective, non-intrusive service. A treat and glad we found it.…
