We came to Mammoth to specially experience the Bike Park. While it's a little expensive, it's worth it. (about $100 each) We rented three mountain bikes with insurance for 2 hours. We also had a tour guide (bike instructor) with us. It's worth the money because he will teach you how to ride the bike on the terrain. We had... More

Although known for the downhill mountain bike experience in the summer, we really enjoyed the Gondala ride and then the scenic views from a top the mountain, worth every penny

Downhill cyclist will love the adrenaline rush from the world class downhill trails. Purchase tickets at Bike Park. They will take you by tram to top of the mountain, and scream downhill. Purchase packages complete with bicycles, or dare to use your own.. be sure to have ample supply of extra bike parts, and first aid supplies. I guarantee you... More

At Mammoth in the summer we had the opportunity to explore the mountain to the summit by taking the lift. It it's probably one of the highest mountain in the west coast. It's worth taking you mountain bike and go down with it.

This is most definately a winter resort first but they have adapted the run and trails to some top quality biking runs. Hire bikes from the store at the gondola lift and choose which death defying route back down. My family and I chose to ride up to the top, walk a bit then ride back down which was spectacular... You don't need to be a biker to experience the delights of the mountain, just ride the gondola to the top. There is also a restaurant at the top. A great experience for bikers, walkers or just to take in the sites.

The park has a whole load of trails of different standards and you can hire bikes from the bottom of the Panoramic Gondola. For experienced mountain bikers the tracks provide various levels of challenge and plenty of opportunities for adrenalin rushes! The intermediate track from the very top does contain some technical bits which are not suitable for a casual... More

I didn't actually ride this trip but I've rode here a couple times before and it's awesome and the views and scenery are over the top. If your not prepared and show up with nothing they rent full suspension bikes, helmets etc. Don't be scared looking up at the face of that big mountain. All trails are marked just like... More

I wonder is it expensive? $90 for bike hire and gondola ticket really probably not too bad. There is a free child under 12 with each paying adult option if you can use it. The beginner trail down to the village is 9km long and fantastic for newish riders. Even my 7 year old girl did it. As long as... More

Found this place by accident looking for something to do on a road trip day from Yosemite NP down to Lone Pine. First off it's not cheap. For 2 hired bikes with use of the cable car up the mountain you're talking $200 for 4hrs. A full day doesn't cost much more but we were dead Haven't ever done REAL... More
