Best in the West

We did the beginner runs after terrifying ourselves by trying to go to the top. It was super fun and we loved our day.

Mammoth have done wonders in turning their essentially winter resort into a mountain biking heaven. If you're into downhill or cross country mountain biking this is the place to be, and I'm into that so I was excited for this place. But it's so expensive - around $85 a day to rent a downhill bike and another $55 a day... More

Go via Gondola or lift and reach 11053 ft Mammoth mountain peak and come back through any of the bike track medium or difficult. Awesome!

Rented the bike with insurance on-line with bike park ticket, before we arrived. Missed the queue for rentals:). We turned got the bikes, headed for the gondola, all the way to the top....then the fun begins. If your old and prefer your bikes to have engines, this is the place for you...very little pedaling is required, bring fluids, wear protection... More

After having skied here a couple times in the recent I was eager to enjoy the slopes/trails on a MTB. This being my first time cycling on this altitude + 11000FT was already a great experience. Briljant views at the start from the top when you leave the gondola. As seen on the video's from previous riders I also started... More

we had a great time, a bit like ski-ing lessons, you learn a lot about technique and also where to go. As a family of four (2 teenage boys) we signed up for the 2 hour introduction lesson, expcted a big group but we got an instructor to ourselves, who was good with handling our different abilities and experience. Thoroughly... More

Mammoth has got to be the best place to ride down a mountain!! There are trails for everyone of all levels - and the mountain is so big that sometimes it feels like you have the whole mountain to yourself! Be sure to dress appropriately - it gets super cold at the top and super warm at the bottom so... More

Tell your friends and their friends -- this is a great bike park. Take the gondola to the top and bike the ski runs. Very fun!

Not so impressed with beginner lessons. The instructor pushed our girls ( age 10) a little harder then we or they would have liked. Both fell numerous times on route ( from adventure center to Village) and one daughter had road rash as a result of fall. While falls are not to be unexpected when biking, we were very explicit... We came to Mammoth to specially experience the Bike Park. While it's a little expensive, it's worth it. (about $100 each) We rented three mountain bikes with insurance for 2 hours. We also had a tour guide (bike instructor) with us. It's worth the money because he will teach you how to ride the bike on the terrain. We had... More
