We’re from LV but decided to try this tour anyway. It was good, we learned a few new things. I’d recommend this for anyone from out of town who has a couple of hours to spare and wants to learn some Bethlehem history.

There are different types of tours. I generally like the kind that are heavy on data, details and dates and leave me feeling that I just picked up a few college credits. This was not that type of tour. However, as it turned out,Steel Street Tours was exactly what I had been hoping for - an introduction to and orientation of the city Of Bethlehem. The van picked us up promptly at the visitors center. Over two generous hours later at the conclusion, Chris graciously offered to drop us off at our next destination. During those 2 plus hours, we drove through assorted neighborhoods, university campuses, past historic sites trendy areas and other locations of interest. We actually had two narrators. Chris, herself, who alternated her commentary with that of a different, disembodied Chris who narrated his professional audio tour via disc. These two approached worked well together. We mentioned that we would appreciate some input on various restaurants and other venues. Chris was more than happy to oblige. All in all, it was a relaxing, enjoyable tour. The $15 senior rate didn't hurt either. We now feel well oriented and prepared for our next visit to Bethlehem.

In town to visit my sister, she suggested we do this tour and boy are we glad we did!! Chris is a great tour guide, full of fascinating information and an overall nice lady! By the time we finished the tour, we felt like she was an old friend! And she recommended a great "dive" tavern (Joe's Tavern) to grab some cocktails and appetizers! Take this tour, you'll love it!! 😍

This is our second time traveling with Chris! First, we took our reluctant teenagers who ended up giving it an enthusiastic "thumbs up." It's part history, part trivia, accented with humor and pop culture. On the second trip, we brought our senior citizen parents. The van was comfortable, our guide was engaging and knowledgeable, and we were awed by the steel plant, colleges and the overview of the local neighborhoods and culture from a native's view. Super!
