We came on a quiet winter day so asked for a private tour of both the early Moravian buildings and the Bethlehem Steel plant. Tour guide Loretta Hine gave an excellent walking tour of both. She is charming and enthusiastic and seems to know everything and could answer our most specific questions. Ask for Loretta! We are definitely coming back when more of the museums are open.

Spent the day with friends taking advantage of the Local Flavor tickets visiting the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, the Moravian Museum, Single Sisters House and the putz. Ran out of time, and will definitely make it an annual tradition, but will book lunch at the Hotel Bethlehem well in advance! Wonderful history and guides. The people at the Visitor's Center were so friendly and warm.

Very disappointed in Historic Bethlehem. First, I tried to resolve this by contacting them directly and did not receive a reply. Here is the issue: My family went on a "Rise and Fall of Bethlehem Steel" tour. The Historic Bethlehem website states that the tour is one hour. When the tour began we spent approximately the first 45 minutes listening to the tour guide talk and looking at pictures while sitting on a bench across the street. Then we ascended the stairs for the Hoover Mason Trestle. When we arrived at the top I asked if the tour would be over in 15 minutes (thinking that what we had experienced was not what was described on the website) because my party had another commitment and we needed to leave at 2:00 (again the tour was supposed to be one hour). The tour guide said the tour will go at least an hour and a half and maybe longer! As a result we had to leave at 2:00 and missed most of the tour, what we were most interested in, the walking part where we could see actual items, not just pictures. The info. given during the first 45 minutes was interesting, but not a walking tour. We are very disappointed that we missed probably the most interesting part of the tour and what we actually thought the tour would be. It's great that the tour guide had so much info. to give but the website needs to indicate the actual length of the tour. When asked for a refund or credit for a future tour, so I could allocate more time, no response from either Historic Bethlehem or Arts Quest (the ticketing agency).

The centre is really nice. The staff there Ms. Jenna, a very knowledgeable person with excellent communication skills, was very helpful in helping plan our tour of the area. The shop attached to the centre offered a wide variety of material including books and antiques which were priced reasonably. It is a good intro for the tour of Bethlehem historic sites

Right in the middle of Main Street is the Visitor Center where you can get information about everything that's happening in Bethlehem. The staff is super friendly and they know their stuff. This is where you can buy tickets for the walking tours and the trolley ride. And they have a very nice gift shop too.

The apothecary tour was absolutely AMAZING! From booking to completion, everything was very well organized and the manager, Keith, was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire process when questions came up about booking. Our guide, Ted, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. The topics introduced were really interesting and were presented in an easy to follow and exciting way! We will definitely be back for the full walking tour in the spring!

Two or Three staff members onsite. Not one of them greeted us. Mostly they were behind the counter looking at their cell phones. From the posts here it sounds like this is the starting point for paid tours. I guess if your aren't paying for a tour then there is no information. Lots of local memorabilia which you can get in most any other shop along the street. Disappointing as a "Visitors Center".

Your go-to place for historic Bethlehem tours. We had previously done a walking tour of the colonial quarter, which included many buildings and lots of interesting information. For our most recent visit to this sweet town, we booked a tour of the old apothecary. We ended up having a private tour. The guide dressed in period clothing and explained it all. It was all very interesting - to see the old bottles in the tiny apothecary with the Latin names on them...
Our only issue was actually finding where the tour began. There was no signage for the apothecary. It is close to another museum though, so we walked over there and it ended up being the place we were supposed to meet.
Bethlehem has an amazing history; and the modern town is so cool. There's so much to see.

We had bought tickets for the Bethlehem Christmas bus tour and met at the Visitors Center. Nice local arts and crafts for sale inside. Spoke to the staff and very helpful with questions on the town and area. Bus tour was wonderful.

If you are looking for tour tickets or information, this is the place to go. We did NOT get info or buy tour tickets on our visit. If you don't need info or to buy tickets, then it's just another shop to look through and honestly, isn't anything special. There weren't any exhibits or anything to look at.
There is a public bathroom at the back though, so that is good to know.

What are the Penn state creamery hours in downtown Bethlehem?
Written July 8, 2017
Hi there! Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, I don't know the hours of the creamery - we are the visitor center for Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, a non-profit organization which preserves and protects 20 historic structures in Bethlehem and offers tours to the public.
TripAdvisor does not permit tagging links here in the answers, so I can't post a link to their website. But if you search "Penn State Creamery Bethlehem" you can get their phone number.
I'm sure if you give them a call, they would be most happy to help!
Enjoy your visit and please pop into the Visitor Center to say hello,
Kristen

What I want to know is how to save this as a favorite to my trip advisor account? The "favorite" Herat does not exist or it is hidden.
