I enjoyed the gardens most of all. Not everything was open at the time of our visit, so there wasn't much to see, but we had a very nice, shaded walk through and around the grounds.

This is a old farmstead that is in use as the City's stables for their police horses. I can't think of any other place where there is something like this. Really cool!

Good place to take family. Able to tour the plantation and learn about the way they cooked in summer kitchens. Also, Bethlehem police horses and there for you to see and learn about. Lot of yummy baked goods at the blueberry festival.

We were here for the Blueberry Festival. What we enjoyed the most were: 1) Touring the Burnside home and benefiting from the knowledge of the guides sharing their passion for History and insights into the period. 2) Strolling through the period garden recreated as planted in the 1700s. 3) Getting acquainted with Allentown Mounted Police and their beautiful horses -... Burnside Plantation holds many events and the favorite of my family each year is the Blueberry Festival held in early July. We go in the morning and spend the whole day. It is usually very sunny so bring a lot of sunscreen and clothing for protection as you can get extremely red; there are lots of places to get shade... More

My SO and I go to Burnside Plantation annually for their blueberry festival, which is a lot of fun. It would be worth the trip just for the blueberry (and other) pies, but they also have other delicious baked goods and treats like blueberry lemonade. There were also non-blueberry foods available (we enjoyed the corn nuggets, deep fried pickles, and... More

If you enjoy family activities that have an old time feeling this will take you back to days where people wore very different types of clothing, and lived, ate, and entertained in a much simpler way than most of us do today. Great for children to see this bit of history.

This is a great place to see how people once lived. It is an active farm during the spring/summer. The summer offers some special activities such as the Blueberry Festival which is very popular! There is a horse-drawn merry-go-round and pie-eating contests. There have been people there to have your questions answered about plants, flowers, veggies and anything else you... More
