A well designed museum, creative displays, excellent presentation of manatee rehabilitation center and awesome planetarium film. Reasonably priced. Great environment for teaching young minds as well as those of us who have experienced life a few decades!
If you need a relaxing place to spend an afternoon with the family, this is it.
Be sure to catch the manatee talk and enjoy at least two of the planetarium shows.

The building is beautiful. The exhibits are very interesting and extremely well done. It’s a very unique opportunity to see the live manatee aquarium and a first-rate planetarium show in one location...and for just one admission price. Free parking on the street.Don’t miss it!
We were very happy with our visit here. Lots of nice exhibits, but our favorite part was the manatee rescue center. Very interesting, and you see manatees up close and personal! Kids would love this. Also a very nice planetarium show.

What a great way to spend a few hours. We enjoyed the fresh perspective regarding early Florida’s inhabitants. The exhibits are well thought out and easy to understand. Whatever you do don’t fail to visit the planetarium.
I have taken 3 out-of-town guests to the planetarium shows. ALL of them said that the host was so offensive that they would never return as long as he is there. He is loud, condescending, rude and thinks there are only 2 views-the wrong one...More
