We loved shopping and eating in this area. We had a lovely meal and found air plants for just a couple dollars, neat hand made craft items, antiques, vinyl records, very friendly, fun, interesting.

The Oregon District was suggested to me by Garnet House Bed and Breakfast House Manager Elliott Gregory as a/the place to go and he was right.. Thai 9 was Great! The Trolley Stop and Blind Bob's super fun. My week stay at Garnet House Bed and Breakfast 54 Linden Ave. was great. The house manager knew exactly where to focus... More

We sort of walked into the Oregon too early on a Saturday morning, and it struck us they were still cleaning up from the night before. Oddly, there is not a proper breakfast in the area, albeit there was a cafe with breakfast sandwich's. It looked like it had great architecture and would be a lot of fun at night,... More

If you’re in Dayton, you must visit the Oregon District. It’s a lovely mix of quirky independent shops, bars and restaurants with a vibrant night life. Oregon District’s indigenous population are so friendly you’ll feel right at home here too.

I love walking around and looking at the rehabbed houses. There are some interesting restaurants and shops in the area. There are all kinds of people there, a good cultural mix.

This can be the ultimate pub crawl location, but if you're hoping for a more sophisticated fare, it'll be hit and miss. The restaurants have great food, but you may be parking next to an x-rated bookstore to get to your restaurant.

Downtown Dayton is rather dreary with very few restaurants other than in the Oregon district which seems to have all that there is but there is a choice here including a very good Thai Restaurant (THai 9) and Jay's Sea Food restaurant. There is also an old music shop selling vintage "records".
