We were killing a little time before flying out of Cleveland. This was a great little side trip along with some other falls that were only a short drive away in Cuyahoga National Park. Simple hike and great photo op.

We make it a point to stop and see waterfalls and caverns whenever we come across them on our travels. This one did not disappoint! Very nice set of falls and very easy to get to with the parking lot across the street (that seems...More

The terrain is hilly at points, and the paths are mostly unpaved. That's all good if it's what you're expecting. The falls themselves are pretty.

My husband took the short hike to the falls and then went along the Buckeye Trail for some much-needed relaxation after a whirlwind of travel and family wedding events. While others may not appreciate the falls, I have lived in Texas for the last decade...More

I hiked the trail from the Boston store up the mountain only to find a cell phone tower awaiting me at the top of the somewhat steep climb- as it turned out, I didn't go far enough, but I was strapped for time, so I...More

These falls are pretty, but nothing mind blowing. It is worth the visit alongside many other stops during your trips to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I would suggest parking across the street in the overflow lot and not even bothering to see if one of...More

Tip: the parking lot only fits like 3 cars so use the overflow parking. It's a quick easy hike to get to the falls and snap a few pictures. You can climb down and get right up in the falls although I'm not sure that's...More

So we didn't do the longer and probably more entertaining hike trail, but instead did the small loop near the parking because of limitations on time. That being the case it was a very easy walk down and around to the small falls. There were...More

Cuyahogo Valley NP (camping, biking, hiking) & Cell Service (5 Replies)
Our family is considering a visit to Cuyahogo Valley National Park this summer (in late July/early August) and are considering camping at the park. We would tent camp and prefer a site with electric service. We read that the campsite reservations site opens on May 1. How quickly does the campground fill up in the summer? We’re considering camping for three nights, and spending two full days at Cuyahoga Valley NP. Our family (dad, mom, and our teenage daughter) loves nature, hiking,...More

Thank you very much, SuperPoser, for writing and for all your great advice about the waterfalls. We will add Buttermilk Falls and The Ledges hike to our list. We appreciate the map and links as well. Thanks again for your time and help!
