Excellent stop for people and pets
Aug 2019 • Couples
Friendly and helpful volunteers. Restroom cleaner and nicer than most hotels. Super nice areas for pets. Stop and smell the roses out front, lovely. Kudos Colorado for taking pride in your state and in Fruita.

Told to not throw my small bag of trash in the dumpster which is clearing marked for this purpose.

I had two small Wal-Mart bags full of trash as I had just dumped my RVs black and grey water tanks at the dump station and an employee or maintenance guy told me very rudely," Don't throw your trash in there anymore it's for travelers only. Go throw It by the river or where ever your from." His exact words. Maybe it's because my Motorhome is older and a bit dirty? After driving 120 miles thru rain and wind maybe I should have washed my rig first. Beyond that it's a nice place to park. Very clean and there's shops near by and an excellent pet area. Vietnam memorial was great to check out too. So maybe if your in a older motor home wait till they go home for the night then throw your trash away in the available dumpster.

do you like welcome centers?
Jul 2018 • Family
OK, so this is the typical welcome center -- with a lot of information etc. the point is that.... if you come from the other side.... this is at the and of the loop and thus it is a good bye canter ;-) ;-) still, a lot fo knowledge is waiting for you there...

Friendly and Knowledgeable Volunteers
Oct 2017 • Couples
I've never reviewed a Tourist Info centre before but we called in because we needed restrooms after our journey! The volunteer staff were fantastic, the gentleman we talked to told us everything we wanted to know and a lot more, and the leaflet display was arranged intelligently. Top marks.

Great little picnic area
Sep 2017 • Couples
The grounds surrounding this center are great. We were there too late in the day to get into the center, but we enjoyed the surrounding area. It was raining just a little, but the tables were covered so we enjoyed our dinner anyway.

Great for RV owners
Aug 2017 • Friends
This Welcome Center is a little-known spot, just off one of the traffic circles. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms make it popular, but the free dump station with potable water is a real treat. We drove past it for years without knowing. You can walk to a nearby restaurant or eat on the nicely mowed lawn.

Welcome Home
Aug 2017 • Couples
This Welcome Center is in the town where we live. It has a great park with picnic tables, dog run, Vietnam War Memorial, and RV dump station. Along with that there are many fast food restaurants and full-service restaurants. Subway, Wendy's, McDonald's, Dairy Queen, and Taco Bell. Sit down restaurants include Mexican, Chinese, Kannah Creek Brewery (American), Pizza shop and more. By all means do not miss ENSTROM's ice cream shop and absolutely the best Toffee candy you will put in your mouth. They ship candy all over the world. You will see their sign when you park at the visitor's center.

The staff inside the welcome center was awesome and so knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The area outside the welcome center would be great for a picnic and a place to stretch your legs.
