My 2 12 year old sons and I did a Dino Dig through here and then toured the museum. It was a top notch experience. A little pricey for the Dig, but worth it for two boys that have wanted to do this for many years. The museum is nice too.

We live near the DMSN and I actually like this museum better on the topic of dinosaurs. We stop there every time we are in Fruita and the whole family likes it. It's really a nice break from the drive to Utah.

It isn't a very large building but there is a lot of exhibits inside. Not a student of evolution so didn't soak up the theories. But the grand kids enjoyed looking at the mythical beasts and playing in the sand box.

My three year old granddaughter loves to go there once a week still a little frightened of the big dinosaur but she always loves to go and visit

Sure, there were dinosaurs (and our grandson appreciate the audioanimatronics), but also other fossils, tracks, insights. Well worth the time!

But for a region which yielded such groundbreaking discoveries I hoped to see more actual complete skeletons instead of casts. There are to be found here magnificent unique and real specimens and the new movie is very nicely done, but it appears the big discoveries were shipped away to the big cities. Still the legacy of where they came from... More

Fun place. Cool displays and kids can get close to exhibits. Kids love the "spitting dinosaur"! Small, but fun! Have visited many times over the past 5 years.

Have gone twice in the past five months, once with my nearly 6yo granddaughter, and again in November with my daughter, my nearly 4yo grandson, and my 2yo granddaughter. It was a blast with the 6 year old, who'd been reading about dinosaurs and was interested. The 4yo enjoyed it, but much of it was a little beyond his scope... More

Great informative displays & some interactive ones for young (& old:) to do & look at. There were a small group on volunteers working/cleaning bones, etc. that you could talk to that were quite knowledgable & enjoyed sharing info with us. Very enjoyable experience! :)
