I’m never quite sure what businesses reside in the old historic buildings that comprise Main Street of Historic Yorktown (up the hill from the waterfront). The On the Hill Gallery fills one of those iconic buildings. The gallery is light and airy (and air conditioned!). There’s a variety of art from local artists who volunteer to run the gallery. Prices range from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. There are all kinds of mediums (paintings, pottery, glass, encaustics, jewelry, etc.). Definitely worth a stop.

Welcoming, small local art gallery/store sells and displays works of local artists including particularly jewelry and 2-D works such as paintings and prints. Very near Thomas Nelson house. Would be a nice spot to browse for a small handcrafted gift.

Located in the heart of the village just above the riverfront. Friendly staff and contributors. Items for sale are fairly priced.

Parking is available immediately in the area, but can be a nice break as you discover historical Yorktown

This is a great place to walk with family friends and enjoy all the sites of Yorktown. The gallery is a perfect example of the era and the inside is just as original

This is a wonderful gallery with local artists. I bought a pair of beautiful handmade earrings after debating for 10 minutes as all were gorgeous. Nice selection and wonderful price range from $10 to hundreds. Couple that runs it is very nice and friendly also.

Small building, right in historical Yorktown, just a short walk to the waterfront. The two ladies I spoke with were nice, and there is a pretty decent selection of local art. Definitely worth popping into, and taking a piece of local art, home.
