The tag line for this lovely shop is, "Where history meets handmade". It fits well in the historic area of Yorktown. Almost all of the items for sale are handcrafted by local and regional artists. It is an eclectic mix of fine art and re-purposed materials along with pottery and artisan jewelry. What a nice place to shop, browse, and cool off on a hot summer day! They even offer craft classes to make some of the cute things found in the shop.

Thank you so much! Our mission is to sell unique, high-quality, affordable, handmade arts and crafts made in the USA. While striving to steward the earth, we feature work that has been made by remixing, rethinking, recreating, repurposing and recycling goods in artful ways. Our workshops are offered mainly at the beginner skill level on a variety of artful projects and we carry kits on some of our workshop topics. We would love for your group to schedule an artful weekend getaway in Yorktown. We can provide a customized schedule of workshops to match your interests, assist you in finding lodging and provide you an itinerary of other fun things to do and see. Please visit us often as we strive to add new one-of-a-kind pieces to the shop everyday!

Among the quaint shops of the Riverwalk Landing is the Annie M American craft center.
It is a small shop but has some very interesting and eye catching pieces. Great place to browse on the waterfront. I thought the fish made out of reused bottle caps and golf balls was very interesting. There was lots of flannel and cloth art craft for sale. But, I will let my photos speak for themselves as to why I like this little shop so much.

I had wanted to stop in at Auntie M's after the TripAdvisor reviews I had read and I'm so glad that I did. It's really one of the only retail storefronts in Yorktown. It's hard to know where to look--the whole store is jam packed with crafts ranging from jewelry to table runners to "pop out" 3D paintings... If I had enough wall space I'd probably go after the amazing 3D Koi fish painting I saw. If you are in the Williamsburg-Jamestown-Yorktown area then definitely check out Auntie M's American Cottage to support local handmade wares. When the store website goes online I'd take a peek for sure.

This shop speaks to my heart: handcrafted, local, unique. There are so many interesting things here I had to walk around the whole shop twice just admiring everything before I REALLY started looking (and apparently I missed the button bracelets anyway!). I have a feeling the inventory changes so I'm excited to stop back next time we make it to Yorktown to see what's new.

Nestled amongst the many shops, restaurants and museums of the Riverwalk is Auntie M's American Cottage. Filled with local memorabilia, local artisans crafts and collectible gift ideas, the shop is nicely presented. My wife and I enjoyed their display and did make some purchases.

This was a really unique and fun gift shop that we found while walking around Yorktown. It's near the river walk and beach area. Some of the prices seemed high BUT we did find some really nice and unique gifts for family members back home (early Christmas shopping ;) ) Yes, we would shop and visit here again some day because our children do want to go back to Yorktown and the Historic Triangle area.

a really wonderful lady greeted us as if we were long time friends. The warm welcome set the atmosphere to explore her shop and browse wares , handmade and beautiful.

I believe that the prices were fair and reasonable.

This shop has so many interesting handmade and unique art objects for your home that are made in the USA. It's definitely worth the walk down from the historic homes on Main Street. You never know what interesting treasure you may find!

Lovely shop with unique items made by local artists. Shopkeeper was very friendly. I bought a beautiful handmade pewter Yorktown Christmas ornament. Stop in if you are on the River Walk.
