This was an organizing committee with out of town visitors. One staff member was assigned to serve our table She was well organized, courteous, attentive and knew the menu quite well. Food was delicious, some was organic, depending on your taste and requests. Most foods served here are authentic from different parts of Mexico. Prices are moderate in relation to... More

I wanted something very "Mexican," and there's nothing more Mexican than Mercado Mayapan. The taste, the setting, the unbeatable prices, and the friendly smiles translate into "Mexican," better than most places in town.

Even though this is a small market not like those ones in Mexico, somehow my teens got entertained. Worth the visit if you are going to eat at the restaurant. My visit was on a weekday so there was not much going on. The same Mexican curious stuff you find here like on any other shop/store or vendor in Mexico;... More

Beer is excellent and potato soup is spicy. You can eat to bowls and feel satisfied. It had cheese and tinny chips.

There are two food booths there and sometimes vendors selling mostly Mexican products, arts, crafts, food stuff, etc. Sometimes they do have performances, but most of the time this is a lonely place.

We visited Mercado Mayapan and had a delicious authentic lunch of Mexican food very cheap. Also took home some delicious baked goods. After lunch we wandered around the market area and got some great deals on jewelry, a serape, and other stuff. There are a lot of small booths, each with different types of craft items. On the far side... More

We got here a few minutes after noon and the place looked like it had been ransacked. There was literally nothing there, just a few things in a corner booth. They are only open on the weekends if you decide to go, but it's not worth the gas money to go and see a bunch of empty shelves.
