The Big Dam Bridge is only open to pedestrians/cyclists and is built over the dam on the Arkansas River. You can start in either LR or NLR and walk across to the other side. It's fun to stand in the middle of the bridge and watch the flow of the river and any river traffic. The bridge is lit in... More

I visited with friends on a Sunday afternoon. It was very hot in August, and there was little shade. Use sunscreen and take a hat and lots of water with you if you visit in August. The views from the bridge are great, and you can see Pinnacle Mountain in the distance. Be prepared to be surrounded by bicyclists and... More

A beautiful walk with tons of pelicans to gawk at. Just make sure to wear a hat because there's only shade at the top!

The BDB is one of the signature outdoor activities spots in Little Rock. Whether you are walking across or biking along the river trail, the BDB is a great place to use as the starting point.

Soaring over the Arkansas River at Little Rock, this is a very relaxing way to spend a couple hours and get a little light exercise at the same time. Wide and constructed of concrete, the bridge is open to walkers, pets, and bicycles. Bring your toddler in a stroller. A wonderful family environment. Not only is the bridge itself beautiful,...
