This is beautiful bridge to walk or ride a bike, get a great view of the Arkansas River and to watch river traffic go through the lock system. It is connected to miles of paved trails that you can walk, ride or run on.

You can see up and down the river a good ways. The bridges in little all light up at night, but unfortunately, in the summer, the spiders also come out at night. The Big Damn bridge is a nice walk. I prefer the two rivers bridge.

Near downtown Little Rock (aprox 2.5 miles), the Big Dam Bridge is a must see for people who enjoy the outdoors. Because it is elevated over a dam there is almost always a bridge and is pleasant even in summer. If you are riding a bike it is forms the western river crossing of the river trail (paved, great for... More

Weather permitting, it is a beautiful area! Great places to play with the kids, walk in the sun, or the shade. Stroll thru the wooded paths or along the river across the rolling waters under the bridge. Wear good, comfy shoes. I can be a long trek or a short one!

An engineering feat making an ordinary dam into a fantastic scenic and healthy attraction. The Big Dam Bridge built atop of the Murray Lock and Dam spanning the Arkansas River makes for an excellence vantage point to see the river, boats and surrounding landscape by foot or by bike. Its very neat to watch large barges and boats of all... More

It was a dark and stormy--no, it was a cold and rainy day, but our daughter had taken the day off of work and we were going to get out and walk with her and her dog. The Big Dam Bridge is a wonderful creation for those who like to walk, run or bike, and is part of the Arkansas... More

The bridge on its own is a marvel, almost a mile long. We go here often to walk with our hound, there are so many trails all around the bridge. On a hot day the bridge always has a breeze, it is a good place to spend an hour or so.

An interesting story accompanies the bridge. Take a walk across the whole bridge and enjoy seeing Little Rock from a different vantage point.
