This is a very nice area of Little Rock, with the River Trail passing right through it. When we bike the trail, it's fun to stop off at a restaurant in the River Market area to have a quick, light lunch. The Farmers Market is...More
Delightful area to walk, sight-see, and explore. Lots of shops and good restaurants. Take the trolley ride too. Conductors are great story tellers, and explain the sites of both Little Rock and North Little Rock. This is a half way point on our trip to...More
You can enjoy all the shops and restaurants in downtown Little Rock along with an arts museum and shop and the wonderful Arkansas State Library which has a fabulous used book store across the street! Three floors of books, books, books!
If you want a great selection of foods and an informal environment this is a great choice. Many ethnic choice are available from Nepali, Greek, etc. The people watching can’t get any better with great diversity.
The Rivermarket grew from a seed of an idea by private investors into a really booming fun place to hang out. So many restaurants, bars and entertainment! Some of my most favorite places to eat are there. Don’t miss out!

I’ve had to visit Little Rock twice for business and have stayed at the Marriott both times (Statehouse Plaza). I never felt unsafe there, and the hotel has a restaurant in it if you don’t feel like venturing out for dinner as well as a Starbucks for a light breakfast. Have also ordered room service, and they are quick, polite, and delicious! (Priced accordingly, tho!) I have walked around during the day by myself and felt entirely comfortable. I suggest a walk to the Food Hall just a few blocks east, and support some very delicious local chefs! A walk along the River Trail was a pleasant after-lunch stroll for me, again, no worries while I was there. Hope you enjoy!
