Pinnacle is nice little state park that has lots of options for hikes and other activities. There is a walking base trail that is scenic and easy as far as physical demands. You can hike up the mountain on a marked trail; this is often referred to as the easy side. This is more physically demanding than the base trail,... More

Whether one is hiking to the top of Pinnacle Mountain, hiking the base trail or hiking to the rock quarry overlook, Pinnacle Mountain Park offers opportunities for great experiences. Be sure to find out if the park staff is offering any special tours or programs. Consider renting a canoe and floating the Little Maumelle River. There are many trails and... More

Great small state park with lots to do. You can kayak or hike or just enjoy the beautiful Arkansas outdoors in this park. Very informative rangers are also onsite.

My husband and I hike Pinnacle often. It offers a great outlet for cardio; it's also good for wearing out children and pets. There is a hard side and an easy side, so pick whichever one is applicable to you. Bring lots of water. Take breaks on the benches that are dispersed. After so many markers, the pathway dissolves into... More

Paddle boats and hiking is what we took advantage of with our family of 4 (including a 6-year old) and it was great! Little shop/museum was a great little respite with great views on the back porch. They had more trails for more adventurous people, but we had enough fun just on the overlook point!

Great time. Not to difficult a hike, but long enough to make a day out of it. We climbed the difficult side, went down the easy side and walked back around the base trail to the vehicle. Bring water!

Pinnacle Mountain State Park is a great place to hike, have quiet time, or a picnic. There was a good crown but not too many. Definitely a great park to visit.

We went late morning in April, and it was a bit warm, but the shade of the trees made it durable. Hiking the pinnacle trail is not for the faint of heart, or the weak in knees. I found that I need to practice my step climbing as much of the trail is stepping up large boulders...not too steep, but... More

I love going to Pinnacle Mountain. It's not a bad hike up the mountain and there is such a beautiful view when you reach the top. This is an excellent place to go to for exercise and getting in touch with nature. There's also restrooms and a playground.

We had a few hours to spend while passing through Little Rock and decided to do the West Summit of Pinnacle Mountain. The mountain peaks at 1011 feet. Even though it started out as an easy climb over stone steps it developed into a climb using all my extremities to pull myself up layers of fallen large rocks. The view... More
