This tour covers the highlights of five magnificent national parks in the USA (and one Utah state park) in five full days. For us, it was the perfect introduction to six of the most scenic parks in the USA. We were picked up in our hotel in Las Vegas on an early Monday morning, and returned back to Las Vegas on a Friday evening (departure and return from Salt Lake City is also available). There were six passengers in our van (a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter) and one guide/driver.
Our guide, Simone Kuzma, was superb. A professional tour guide of nearly twenty years experience conducting tours all over the world, Simone is multilingual, personable, and as a bonus, a trained geologist, and having a geologist explain the fascinating geologic features that made these parks so famous adds an extra and important dimension to this tour. She is also well-versed in the native cultures of the areas, from the Anasazi to the present Pueblos, as well as the histories of Mormon migrations, the establishment of the national parks and forests, and many other facets of information (including botany and biology) that made the tour much more enjoyable and educational. She also led us on several hikes to areas which can only be viewed and photographed while on foot.
Simone cleaned the van thoroughly at the end of each day, and refilled the water supply with chilled each morning. The company asks guests to bring their own personal refillable water bottles.

I would recommend Southwest Adventure Tours small group tours to anyone whose bucket list includes the National Parks of the Southwest. We took the Grand Circle tour and it was the most organized and well operated bus tour we have ever been on. Our guide/driver ShyBree was fantastic, not only full of local knowledge of the area, but well versed in the best restaurants in every area for lunch and dinner. She kept us on track and on schedule with friendliness and tact that was astounding. When adverse conditions like a substantial early October snow storm hit, ShyBree immediately adjusted our route to keep us safe. She handled our heavy luggage like a stevedore and even offered to carry me down a steep section of rocky trail when I was having knee problems! No one could ask for a better tour in my opinion.

We did a 7 day self drive Yellowstone/Grand Teton tour with our 8 and 11 year old granddaughters. Jason and Southwest Adventure Tours planned a fantastic trip for us. This is the second time we have used this organization, and I honestly think we save money by paying them to plan our trip! We love the self-drive option. It includes rental car, hotel reservations, and an app that plans out each day with an array of suggested sites to see, trails to hike, restaurant options, maps, etc. When we tried to plan our trips ourselves, we found it difficult to book rooms, cars, etc. in the national park areas. We think the travel agencies have better connections, and it makes trip planning easy! Southwest Adventure Tours is so accommodating to your personal needs. Jason knew we had our 2 granddaughters with us and highly recommended we add on the Bar T 5 Covered Wagon trail ride and cookout (with family friendly entertainment). So glad we did! We highly recommend Southwest Adventure Tours!

I booked a private one-day tour to Bryce and Zion National Parks with Southwest Adventure Tours and specified that I wanted a sightseeing trip only--no hiking.
Kaylee Hopkins in the office told me that the day before my tour I would receive a call from the tour guide to confirm my pickup time and to make a lunch reservation for the next day.

The day before my trip I had not received a call from the tour guide by 3:00 p.m. So I called the office to double check my arrangements for the next day. No one answered the phone, and I had to leave a message. No one responded to my message.

So the next morning at 7:00 a.m. I called the company again to see what was happening with my reservation. After about a half hour I received several callbacks. One from a tour guide who was already at Zion and another from some woman in the office. The woman apologized; they had TOTALLY overlooked (forgotten) my reservation. This woman proceeded to irritate me with her words showing me she was not familiar with my reservation and my wishes.

So they scrambled and got a tour guide to my hotel by 10:00 a.m. By that time I was so irritated that it pretty much put a damper on the whole day. I paid $999 for this bad treatment.

I would not use this company again.

Southwest Adventure Tours provided my wife and me and tremendous vacation experience. My wife and I had always wanted to take a tour of the National Parks located in the Southwest. The year of Covid-19 seemed like a good opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. Our local travel agent wasn’t very familiar with the Southwest region. I googled tours of the southwest and found Southwest Adventure Tours (SAT) and started corresponding with them. I gave them some basic information of what we wanted to do, how we wanted to do it, and how many days we wanted to spend on the road (in our case 12 days). SAT developed a tour of the southwest that was customized for us. They were friendly, informative, and very responsive to our questions. Because SAT is familiar with the region, they not only provided us with an itinerary for the national parks but made additional helpful suggestions for additional places to go and see; national monuments, state parks, museums, scenic drives, etc. They provided a detailed itinerary which included our airline flights, a rental car, hotels, driving directions, park information, etc. All this information was contained on an App that we could download to our phones. Therefore, we always had all the information with us in a convenient place and format. We spent twelve days exploring the beautiful southwest doing it “our” way. Many thanks to the Southwest Adventure Tours team for a truly “once in a lifetime” experience.

This is our second tour with SWAT, the first being Mighty Five in September 2020, which we liked so much we went with them again on their Grand Teton and Yellowstone tour the following year. Our guide Larry Hansen was the perfect guide for this tour, experienced and knowledgable about the geology, history, and wildlife of these beautiful national parks. He also adjusted expertly to unforeseen events and though the parks were crowded, he timed our visits to the higher profile attractions to avoid the peak times. The van (Mercedes Caleche) was spacious and comfortable and the lodging was first rate.

Alaska really is its own review but a guided tour gets you to places you might otherwise not see. Two high points of this tour were the flight over and around Denali and landing on one of its glaciers. The moment was magestic. The other great adventure was flying in an old 1956 airplane with a great pilot to the famous Brooks River in Katmai National Park to observe Alaskan Brown bears fishing for salmon. I was on the viewing platform for over two hours and wanted to stay all day. Watching the bears catch salmon and interact with each other was beyond entertaining.

This is my second Southwest Adventure Tour. Jason runs a great operation and often has to change plans due to things beyond his control but he always comes up with a Plan B that might even be more thrilling than the original.

I highly recommend this tour You might push the envelop a bit but will find a great feeling of satisfaction in your accomplishments.

My wife and I don't like guided tours but the SWAT Golden Circle Experience itinerary and small group size finally sold us. We were not disappointed! All of our hotel accommodations were taken care of as well as most of our meals. Our knowledgeable guide Ja knew just what sites to see and trails to take, and stayed with our group the entire trip. We got to see all of the national parks in the Golden Circle, plus additional experiences lake Monument Valley and a Colorado river trip. The step van used to transport us throughout the trip was comfortable and made the 2000 mile adventure fly by. This trip created memories we will always cherish and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see our great national parks in comfort with a great guide to explain the countryside.

There were 8 of us in the group and 3 additional travelers. From the moment we were picked up at the hotel, I could tell we were in good hands. Our tour guide Ean was professional throughout and went out of his way to make sure our requests were meet. Ean has been to the parks many times, but he reacted to them as if he was seeing them through our eyes. Not worrying about the driving, hotel accommodations, food arrangements, and park scheduling was a huge plus in using Southwest. The guides are knowledgeable about when to enter the parks (which included many sunrise hikes), top places to go in the park, delicious pies in Capital Reef, and a great coffee shop on the way to Bryce Canyon. Ean kept us moving to maximize our time in the parks often picking up sandwiches enroute and eating at a scenic view inside the park. I would highly recommend Southwest Adventure Tours and Ean was an excellent guide.

A small group of 8 travelers joined our excellent tour guide Tanja for a continuation of our tour through the Red Rocks of UT to Salt Lake City. Tanja was so full of energy and had such enthusiasm for her job. Our group was a little nervous after disembarking from the Rocky Mountaineer train in Moab. Our itinerary was a little sketchy on next steps at the train stop. Tanja put us at ease and set the stage for an absolutely fantastic experience!! We were called the FUN group as we laughed and told many stories. As a group we formed new friendships across the country. I would highly recommend this tour company and trip. The van was extremely comfortable and easy to get in and out. Hotel accomodations and restaurants were outstanding. The tours of the parks were amazing with plenty of time to explore and take pictures!!
