No wine tastings or single glasses due to Covid (which I can live with). Bought a bottle of Chardonnay but couldn’t get ice to keep it cold. Credit card machine not working. Staff clearly in a bad mood. Wine not worth $10/ bottle let alone the $24 we paid. Pure garbage. Avoid at all costs.

We went (group of 5) for a relaxing afternoon trying a new winery. The venue looks great when you arrive, gorgeous views of the country side.

First sign of trouble/failure: “our license doesn’t allow outside food”. Total BS, as so many other wineries in the area allow outside food to be brought in.

We ordered 5 flights, and 2 appetizers. The appetizers were 2 paper bags of tortilla chips, and the dips were like takeout from a chain restaurant.

The flights were poured, but the server seemed very disorganized in how he poured them, not a consistent process/order for presentation. Quality of the wines left a bit to be desired.

Overall: meh.

The lavender festival is one I have attended over the years and look forward to it each time. This year looked a little different with having a new addition to the mix - my 11 month old daughter in attendance. As it was the hottest day of the year, so far, the venue could have prepared more shaded spots and placed more than just one of the misting fans in different areas, because it was packed and over-heated for many. There were also no bathroom accommodations for families with infants who needed changing tables. I literally changed her diaper on the patio… As I love going to this venue I think the preparation needs more work for this “family” event. I will continue to attend, but now I know to be better prepared when there is not a family bathroom offered. I even asked the venue staff if we could use the indoor bathrooms, to which they declined and recommended to use the portapotties which had no changing tables… this is why I gave my 3 star review.

From our first interaction with the Inn keeper Robin to our last breakfast our experience was first class. The property definitely shows its mid 1800s age, but that only adds to the charm of the experience. We will be coming back for our next anniversary or special occasion for sure!

I would give zero stars if I could. Horrible management! Not family friendly! I attended a family wedding where my husband was a groomsman. My baby began to cry during the reception so I went off to a room to breastfeed her and I was told that she couldn’t be crying and said I could feed her in the BATHROOM! I refuse to feed my baby in a bathroom! I was already in an empty room! They were completely rude about the whole situation and I most definitely will not be returning to their establishment.

I spent a Saturday afternoon here with friends. As we neared the counter, there was a host that explained to us their procedures for ordering. There was plenty of outdoor seating. The line to order food and drinks was long, but moved quickly. I really enjoyed the Old Bay wings.

Amazing experience. Everything was great all the food and the drinks. The live music was a great touch as well. The staff are very helpful and friendly when it comes to the menu and asking for help. Valerie is the best and shows amazing hospitality to her customers. Will definitely be returning!

This winery, Brewery, Distillery is great. Delicious, unique, cocktail flights. Good food. Charcuterie boards, baked brie, a variety of food trucks available too. Really friendly staff. I would save your money and stay in a hotel instead of the associated Manor B & B.

Atmosphere is great. Food is plentiful and appropriate for sitting outside and enjoying a flight.
Cocktail flight was fun and tasty. The wine was meh to awful. My daughter selected her own flight of white, red, and rosé. Most were sweet. I had the white flight. The Sauv Blanc was harsh and the Chardonnay was undrinkable - like moldy hay. Maybe it was corked (I don't know if they use corks.)
We didn't buy any and will try a different winery next time. No one tried the beer flight, it might be great. But skip the wines and get the Cocktails with a tasty Charcuterie on the side.

If you are considering booking a wedding at Springfield Manor, I would caution you to find another venue to avoid dealing with Brian Childs, the property manager. He is rude, unprofessional, and not someone who is going to be pleasant to work with to plan your wedding. In addition to several inappropriate, unprofessional, and awkward comments he made throughout our tour of his properties (which was my daughter and her fiancé’s second tour), the icing on the cake for us was conversation he had with my daughter that ended with her in tears. After asking my daughter if she had seen any other properties that she liked in her search -- and her saying that yes, she had -- he responded so negatively it was extremely upsetting to my daughter. He told her that if she found a venue she really liked, then he could never satisfy her and she would be disappointed with anything he did. He became rude and dismissive. When we suggested he was taking out his bad day on us, he acted like we were the ones who misunderstood him. When, in fact, what he did was decide (quite incorrectly) that we were not really interested in his property and he had wasted enough of his precious time with us. He completely and unnecessarily upset my family.

While we are disappointed that we will not be considering the beautiful venue, we are GRATEFUL that his true personality came out before he had any of our money. If you read recent reviews of the properties you might note a trend of negativity toward Brian Childs in the more recent reviews compared to older ones. I would caution any future bride to consider this before giving him your money.
To quote Brian Childs from an interview he gave “He believes that if a vendor can’t have their game face on every single wedding day, they shouldn’t be in the industry.” Draw your own conclussions

We are sorry Springfield Manor wasn't a good fit - and we are glad you found something better suited for you. We wish you all the best with your event and a lifetime of happiness together.
