I would give zero stars if I could. Horrible management! Not family friendly! I attended a family wedding where my husband was a groomsman. My baby began to cry during the reception so I went off to a room to breastfeed her and I was told that she couldn’t be crying and said I could feed her in the BATHROOM! I refuse to feed my baby in a bathroom! I was already in an empty room! They were completely rude about the whole situation and I most definitely will not be returning to their establishment.

No wine tastings or single glasses due to Covid (which I can live with). Bought a bottle of Chardonnay but couldn’t get ice to keep it cold. Credit card machine not working. Staff clearly in a bad mood. Wine not worth $10/ bottle let alone the $24 we paid. Pure garbage. Avoid at all costs.

We visited Springfield Manor 6/20/2020 and had the WORST experience. PARENTS OF CHILDREN - please read! Prior to our visit to Springfield Manor, I always check Facebook and company's websites to ensure I am aware of their policies in which I must have missed the small blurb on the poorly constructed website under COVID-19 that children were not allowed. I packed up my triplets and made the 30 minute trek. My family, including my father, mother, sister and her 8 month old daughter, godmother, and close family friend were already set up in a grassy area away from other customers (note- 6 adults). They had been there for 20 minutes prior to my arrival in which no one was addressed for their placement on the property or for having a child. As I arrived, my family met me at my car and helped me walk my 20 month old triplets up to where they were seated. I returned back to my car to get our backpack, two bouncy balls, and a mat for my children to sit on. Sure, I looked like a hot mess trying to carry all these things and hurry up to my children to get them settled in - I'll give you that. The owner then quickly rushed up to me and told me straight up "You can't be here. You need to leave." I explained that I didn't see kids weren't allowed and apologized. I explained that we had been here in the past with our children and other's friend's children and it wasn't a problem and not only that, but my sister was here with her daughter and no one had asked her to leave. Unfortunately, instead of handling the situation with grace and a simple explanation that during COVID-19 you were not allowing children, said person decided to make assumptions about my parenting and insult me based on appearances. I asked if we could keep them in their playpen and if that was acceptable; I was told they didn't want them caged up, that looks bad but maybe that would allow us to stay. She said we weren't allowed on the grass because it is treated for crops, etc. She said the balls weren't allowed and I said "Fine, not a problem" and put them in the car. Again, didn't stop there. She began to tell me that the balls could roll into the road (continuing on after I put the balls away) and they could get hit by a car and they couldn't allow it. She continued to tell me that last week, some parents brought their child, lost track of the child, the child was playing in the parking lot and almost got hit by a car and they had to stand there with their staff while they attempted to locate the parents. After I have already obliged to requests, she completely insulted my parenting and ASSUMED because I had three toddlers under the age of 2 and I looked flustered for a small moment in time that I would allow my children to play in a parking lot and abandon supervision. She completely targeted me as a vulnerable parent of multiples and assumed that I did not have control of my ridiculously well-behaved multiples (more well-behaved than parents of singletons I can assure you) who had more than enough adults to ensure their safety and other customer's safety. Knowing this is the ownership/representation of Springfield Manor who practice poor customer service and problem resolution is beyond disappointing.

We came up to stay the weekend in early September and we could not have been more pleased with the facility and the hospitality and personal touch provided by Cory and Sarah. Everything was first-class, especially the quality of service from Cory and Sarah - they were both so kind and made us feel right at home. I would definitely recommend Springfield Manor and I would certainly stay there again.

Stopped by with my wife for a visit as I had passed this place several times but didn't have the time for a visit till now. Lovely grounds so it has that going for it. The spirits were good ended up buying a bottle of the copper colored corn whiskey. We also sampled the beer, we both enjoyed it. I bought a bottle of the Chambourcin to take home. Opened it last night and is just awful. Yes it was stored correctly as we have a wine closet. It was almost acidic, no balance, just terrible. Chambourcin is my favorite wine and I buy it by the case load from other Maryland wineries and a couple in Pa. If this is an indication of the rest of the their wines, pass on it. Won't be buying any more of their wine.
