Pricey For A Small Zoo

My husband and I love checking out zoos and animal encounters and decided to try this one while in the area. Adult tickets were $18.75 for this time of the year and my husband... read more

We visited here once more because we are close by and because I wanted to see if there had been any improvements. I have to agree with others' reviews that I just read. They are completely accurate; the sun bears are contained in a barred cage (where Griz the grizzly bear lived by himself when alive) and I didn't see... More

My daughter and I took two small children to Catoctin Zoo on a very hot day. The kids were thrilled to see all the birds. I felt very sorry for some of the pacing animals. They were not happy campers. After paying almost $50 to get in (one child being free under 3), $3 for a cup of feed, we... More

My husband and I love checking out zoos and animal encounters and decided to try this one while in the area. Adult tickets were $18.75 for this time of the year and my husband received a military discount of $2.00, which is also the discount for seniors. We also purchased tickets for the safari ride which cost $12.00 each, as... More

I took my camp to the zoo and was not pleased with the staff nor the zoo. The staff was very rude and not helpful what so ever. The staff was swearing around small children. The animals were also in very small and dirty cages. This place should be SHUT DOWN! I do not recommend this zoo to anyone. Also... More

It is overpriced and we wish authorities would check on these animals. 3 small bears in 1 cage the temps were very high and there was only a muddy puddle to drink. They should have had clean water in a larger container. Wolves were running the perimeter. They seemed stressed and again it was sad to see animals contained in... More

We enjoy this zoo and have been several times. Between Baltimore, National, and Catoctin we actually like this little zoo the best. Typically it has not been crowded and if you want to hang out with a particular animal for a while you can. We did the safari the first time today and my daughter really enjoyed it. Having said... As an avid zoo visiter I enjoyed my time here. It's a nice place with a lot of foliage that gives it a wood sire atmosphere. I drove a couple hours to get there but the average person might not think it worth the drive as it is a smaller zoo but if you're a zoo addict like I am... More

Very overpriced, 60$ for 3 people. And the animals are in very close quarters, and half of them look very sick. The food prices and gift shop prices are outrageous, but the bathrooms are at least clean.

A bit pricy.... a little small but had a great time. Loved the dingo. They have a great suvinere shop. All the staff was very friendly. Will be going back.
