- Ray WolfLago Vista, Texas268 contributionsBrilliance equivalent to the sphere in VegasHistory has never been so entertaining set to dance , rap, with an interjection of modern day humor. Ethnicity of the actors make what was mostly a white centric history relatable to all! The orchestration, music and rapping of historical moments in history keep the flow high pace. Truly innovative.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 6, 2023
- BandT2958811 contributionsHighly recommend.Great performance for sure. I would say a slight step down from the original cast. The energy just seemed off a bit. Bar service was great. You can order your intermission drinks before the show and just go to the lobby to pick them. Sets were great Row L seats 14 and 16.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 25, 2023
- Tracy G3 contributionsWe absolutely loved this! Everything about it was brilliant! We absolutely loved this. The cast were amazing, the story telling and music were fantastic and the set perfect! We were always going to book a show and we decided on this as we've heard great reviews of the one in the UK, and it did not disappoint! Would highly recommend. Loved the bar cup/lid as well, great idea for advertising. The stewardess arranging the line for the ladies' loos was scary but amazing...shouting to "keep it right and keep it tight ladies!!!", so funny but it worked meticulously.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 3, 2024
- John S.85 contributionsFire the lead actresses!Enjoyed the show overall after seeing on Disney. So much better in person but the quality really hinges on the performers. I was so used to listening to the original performers (who could also act) but the performers tonight were not consistent. Burr and Hamilton were tremendous, so talented. But the ladies playing Angelica and Eliza were downright awful and ruined the show for me. Eliza got slightly better as the show continued but her emoting was bad and she just didn’t convey the emotion. Angelica was downright embarrassing - her voice was too low and her dictation was bad. And emoting? I guess doing the home girl head shake constitutes emotion? She needs to be fired ASAP and bring in someone who can actually play the part. The song Satisfied is the highlight of the show and this actress absolutely mangled it. Disappointing. Second act drags but the first flew by. Glad I saw it but definitely overhyped.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 28, 2024
- Ava HHarrisonburg, Virginia1 contributionIncredible! But proceed with caution….The overall Production was amazing! I had seen the disney movie and listened to the soundtrack hundreds of times, but being there in person was next level! The actors are obviously not as good as the original cast, but it was still 100% worth it. However, after reading some of the other views, I might not recommend if you are older or do not know your history. Hamilton is not completely historically accurate, so bear that in mind when watching. Also, the music is very fast paced so it would be very helpful to have listened to the music at least once beforehand. And to all those saying it lacks meaning and tells no story clearly shows how uncultured and inobservant they are. There are hundreds of deliberate Easter eggs throughout the play, both visually and audibly, that add to the plot tremendously. It is very well done, but it is definitly not for everyone. I enjoyed it and I hope you will too!Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten May 5, 2024
- JavisdadAthens, Georgia91 contributionsSo, so goodHaving seen Hamilton on tour, there's nothing like seeing it in the theatre it was created for. We hit a night with understudies and they were amazing. We sat in the last row and the view was spectacular. Music was clear and everyone sounded great. If you can let go of the soundtrack and just appreciate the performances, it is great. One thing though, we sat next to a middle school field trip and while most of the kids were well behaved we had the luck to sit behind a kid who fell asleep and talked loudly through songs. My son told him to be quiet. These tickets aint cheap. No ushers really, they showed you where to sit and then disappeared. When you get a jerk intent on ruining the night, no help. Fortunately, this was only minor.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 3, 2024
- Ilon TOttawa, Canada332 contributionsMust Watch!Incredible musical from production, to cast to theatre staff! This was our first Broadway show and it did not disappoint! Despite having watched the musical and having listened to the album back to back, it was an all new experience to see it in person! The theatre offers plenty of merch buying opportunities as well, don't stress if you don't get Hamilton'd out before hand!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 22, 2024
- KnunkleTylerIrun, Spain99 contributionsHamilton. The musicalWhat a fantastic performance on every level! It was vibrant, historical, educational, entertaining, humorous, moving, well paced and performed by extremely talented and professional performers. I loved the experience. If I came back to New York I would go to a different musical everuly day I loved this so much.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 8, 2024
- Graham Joseph HillSydney, Australia2 contributionsMemorable and highly recommendedWe saw Hamilton on a New York holiday (we’re Australians). We were warned that the plot is complex and the dialogue fast and complicated, so we watched Hamilton on a streaming service a few times before going, to learn the story. We loved the live performance in New York! One of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences of our lives.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 31, 2024

This is not an average musical. But the price is far from average. A warning to overseas guests: This is an AMERICAN tale told by a contemporary AMERICAN performance. If you are not into hip hop then don’t waste your money. The sets are not spectacular. The story as well. It is unique..and the first hip hop international musical big hit. But not in my top 4 musicals by any stretch.

Hands down my favorite show of all time. I enjoy the history, the music, the costumes and the amazing choreography of so many people on stage. We saw the Disney + version during the pandemic and was able to come watch it live when the theaters reopened. It is a pretty large theater so it can be a bit crowded, just be patient and enjoy the experience.

Been to many Broadway musicals and this is definitely overrated.
Music okay, lyrics clever but difficult to understand all the lyrics due to fast talking. Set and cast is great. As far as musicals go, aside from the history itself, this does not compare with the all time classics such as Phantom, Wicked etc.
One big incentive would be reduce ticket prices as I don't think the show justifies seats being priced over $200.

Wow. It was an emotional experience.
Here are my notes:
1. Aaron Burr actor - AMAZING. Better than the one from the original cast imo.
2. If you choose orchestra, you should sit in row L and above. Because only starting row L the floor starts to incline which means you will see everything on stage and no one will block your view, no matter how tall they are!
3. Research the show in advance, or better - watch the Disney+ recording! I saw so many people confused next to me just because they came to the show clueless, and they found it really hard to follow. If you know some of the lyrics and the overall story in advance, you’ll enjoy the show much more.
4. Saw it in the West End (London) too. Broadway wins by all factors.

Lin Manuel Miranda and his crew are absolute geniuses! This musical is just an excellent combination of rap, history, humor and musical theatre! I would watch it over and over again, right now I've watched it 3 times (not only in NYC) and each time I noticed so many new things and aspects. Definitely recommended to listen to the soundtrack beforehand, though, you will enjoy it far more. One more thing: Crowd in NY is far cheerier than in London ;)

This is the first time I have left a review that was not 5 stars, but I cant help myself, I hated this show. The storyline was terrible, the constant singing was irritating, you couldn't understand what they were saying, the dancing was average, the stage was one constant and basic set, little to no special effects, and the storyline celebrating a guy that kept cheating on his wife. What?! I don't get it at all. Totally over rated. All I wanted to do was leave, and I had a great seats too, total disappointment, the only musical / theatre show I have ever seen that gave no goosebumps.

Honestly my favorite ever musical. Though not the original cast this cast brings unique performances and spins to characters. The scenery amazing, the singing incredible. Even if you’ve seen the Disney + version it doesn’t compare to this. Do yourself a favor and buy a ticket

Went to the show with high expectations having watched the recorded version and listened to the album extensively. The performance I attanded was riddled with technical issues. Microphones turned off in the middle of lines, microphones not turning on for lines, and bad balance and mixing of cast members. That alone would not have ruined the show. The biggest issue is the new cast. Constantly forgetting lines or saying the wrong line. Off key performances vocally. And incorrectly timed singing and entrances. The main cast lacked the charisma so much that I spent most of the musical watching the ensemble and the amazing choreo.
There were also some good parts. The replacements for Hamilton and Eliza are clearly excellent and to some extent carry the show. The new Washington is also talented and charismatic.
Not yet writing off Hamilton entirely. But I will wait a bit for the main cast to change.

"Hamilton" is one of the best shows I've ever seen. (Unfortunately, the sound was a little 'off' during the first part of our matinee, but it was fine during the second act.) Amazing, revolutionary casting - the story (a choreo-poem, really) is compelling. The acting, singing, and dancing is astounding, seamless, transformative, and brilliant. One needs to see it multiple times to learn the multi-layered lessons. There's so much more here than meets the eye.

Hi all, I have 2 x tickets for Hamilton on Broadway for Friday 24th March - I am unable to attend (so disappointed!) and am selling for less than I paid on Stub hub - tickets are transferable on iphone or android. Thanks, Libby

Hi I won Hamilton tickets and while I am going to will call to pick them up I'd like my 17 and 14 year old children to see the show. Would that work and would they be safe in the theater?

Not a bad seat in the house. Higher levels have less leg room for sure but view in fine :). It’s an amazing show.

I just purchased tickets to see Wicked for my trip next week. Received my E Tickets via email but I just read that there's no e ticket? Do I still need to get a physical tickets at the box office?
Written June 1, 2019
I just saw Wicked a few days ago and no, you absolutely do not need printed tickets. I used my e tickets on my phone. Same thing with Hamilton. Everybody is getting rid of paper tickets.

Would this musical be enjoyable for visitors with only a little knowledge of American history?
Written March 1, 2019
Yes! But I strongly recommend anyone who sees it listens to the soundtrack ahead of time. I know many people who listened to it (and read the lyrics) before seeing it and it makes the experience!

I am going to be in NY this weekend and am going to try and get tickets to see this. How do these standing tickets work?
Any guidance is helpful.

I got lucky and got tickets the day before the show at cost. If you dont want to wait 5 hours in line for the chance to get tickets. I reccomend going in to the box office on one of the FIRST days of your trip. Ask for any availability for your open nights. And if there isn't anything, keep trying! I had my luck on Friday for Saturday performances of both Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen. Have a great trip!

Hello peeps. I got Front Mezz tickets to Hamilton Broadway for October, I got the tickets on the very first day of release, so I got whatever was best available then. In hindsight, I wish I got orchestra tickets. I am now planning to sell the tickets and get Orchestra seats instead, but I am from overseas and Ticketmaster requires a Us bank account for reselling. I have tried with other websites too but it is the same requirement, or even a US issued credit card that I also don't have. Anyone here can send me other options as to how I can resell my tickets? Thanks.

We sat slightly on the side and behind orchestra seats. Our view was great! Good luck with selling yours.
