It is a very nice Broadway theater with comfortable seating, good sight lights (even from the balcony tier where we were seating), and an excellent sound system. On top of that, the show was probably the best the my wife and I had seen out of the 20+ Broadway productions - very good afternoon.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 23, 2023

I’ve had a bum knee and their theatre staff was more than accommodating to help me move seats to make me more comfortable! Show was fabulous also!Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 29, 2023

- RazzyBthefirstMacclesfield, United Kingdom1,517 contributions'Drinks prices higher than the ESB'Okay, so the show was fantastic and we enjoyed every minute. Got the tickets from TKTS at the Lincoln Centre, half price, £200 (time to mention Liz Truss again :-)) Nobody buying drinks as they would be in London and now we know why. As one reviewer mentioned on here, the prices are higher than the Empire State. For a small beer and a medium wine we were charged $46. My other half had paid and I went back to check it, the young lad said 'It's Times Square'. Toilets are inadequate, girlfriend wasn't allowed back to her seat until after the first song of the second half because she'd been held up. Second row so great perspective and although complaints about leg room, I'm 6' 3" and was fine where we were sat.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 18, 2024
- Jeff MBrevard, North Carolina3 contributionsA Beautiful play in a very good atmosphere! A MUST SEE!!We saw "A Beautiful Noise" based on Neil Diamonds' life; It Was Awesome! Being off-broadway, all the seats seemed good. We were on the balcony and the sight and sound was very good. The man who played the younger Neil was spot on with the voice and mannerisms! All the cast was very good! Having been a singer songwriter and losing my voice to Parkinsons myself; I admit, it brought me to tears near the end. I recommend this play and this theater highly!Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 2, 2024

Obviously the air con is turned up because the dancers are working very hard. Amazing performance, stunning ambience, wonderful show and lovely venue. A little short on leg room so if you are tall pick a good seat.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 4, 2024
- london_kiki26London, United Kingdom67 contributionsStaff attitude problemWe recently went to see A Beautiful Noise and really enjoyed the show. The cast were amazing. Sightlines from our seats were great - even from the back row of the mezzanine we had a crystal clear view and didn’t miss any of the action. Our experience was slightly let down by a member of staff at the bar who made a pointed remark when we chose not to add a tip to the credit card payment - without realising that we had put a more than adequate cash tip in the dish. It was totally unnecessary to react in the way they did and it put a dampener on the start of the night.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 24, 2024

We came to see Jagged Little Pill, which I am obsessed with now. Easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The rating is for the theatre rather than the show. The theatre itself is beautiful but really needs updating for roomier seats and restroom access. It has the tightest broadway seats I’ve ever been in. At one point I thought I was going to be stuck in my chair because the arm rests were trapping my hip bones. The restroom situation was a disaster. I couldn’t even get to the line for everyone trying to criss cross the back of the theatre to get to the restroom at intermission. All while someone yells at you to make a line, even though you can’t physically move with all the bodies in the way. If there was actual emergency, I’m pretty sure we would have died being trapped in our seats or not being able to leave.

I was in NYC to visit friends for dinner and had time to kill, so on the spur of the moment I decided to see a matinee of “A Beautiful Noise” at the Broadhurst. I knew from past experience that theaters sometimes have two lines, one for ticket holders and one for ticket buyers. I caught the eye of the staff member manning the door and explained I wanted to buy a ticket and asked if this was the right line.
He snarled, “Everybody has to go through security.” I said, “I understand that. My question is do I go to the back of this line?” “I don’t care if you cut the line, you have to go through security.” I thanked him sarcastically, and he yelled after me, “Keep walking, pal.”
Customer service is not his forte. I was looking to meet Sweet Caroline and instead encountered Sweeney Todd.
In all the years I’ve been going to the theater in New York, I have never encountered such hostility. It’s guys like him that give the city a bad name. I don’t know what’s coming next at the Broadhurst, but frankly I doubt I’ll see it anytime soon.

We saw "A Beautiful Noise", which was wonderful, but this review is about the actual theater. Very nice staff, who were friendly, courteous and respectful. The place was very clean. We sat behind a couple with two "twenty-something" grown children who talked through the entire performance, which was disappointing (but in no way reflects on the theater). If you purchase a cocktail during intermission (or any other time)...beware. Prices "higher than the Empire State" as the song goes.

We sat in the very back row of the balcony at the very far right on the aisle, and we were able to see perfectly.
Like many Broadway theaters, the seats are quite tight.
The only thing we found objectionable was a sign outside the ladies room downstairs that welcomed people to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity.
I would not be happy seeing a man walk into a bathroom right behind my daughters.

I attended the show ‘A Beautiful Noise’ and had a great time. When I went back to my hotel, I gave my merchandise that I bought to my mom as a present. They were both a size Large. The zip up was huge on her and the t-shirt was way too small. So I headed back down to the theatre the next day when I knew the matinee was just finishing, confident that I could exchange for the proper size. Boy, was I wrong. The manager was the rudest, most horrible person I have ever met. He screamed at me that it was ‘too late to change anything’ and ‘you should have done it last night’. I explained that I didn’t want my money back but just to exchange for different sizes - which were sitting there right in front of me. He refused and made the nice lady who would have helped me refuse also. Apparently you have go get the same person who sold you the merchandise to exchange - like, how does that work?? And returning less than 24 hours later was unacceptable.
He then accused me of delaying the staff as they had to clean before the next show and told me ‘I knew what I had to do and leave’. When I went through the door, to say he slammed it shut was an understatement. I jumped when he did it.
I will NEVER return to that theatre again and I will never buy merchandise again.
I walked out of that place glad to leave New York. Why do people have to behave like that?
DON’T go there and if you have to, don’t buy merchandise whatever you do.

I’m planning on attending a show in about a week, but I’m a guide dog handler and will have a guide dog in training with me. Will my guide dog be allowed in the theatre?

Hello Elly:
We do allow service animals inside our venues. Please note that all animals should be able to fit underneath the seat when you attend the theatre.

We are looking at tickets for Anastasia. My husband is 6'5". Which seats would be the most comfortable for him. Is there more room with the box seats?

Is alcohol available for purchase in Anastasia? Wondering since it is a kids' production? Thanks!
Written May 13, 2018
Not only did they serve alcohol they had people at intermission going up and down the isles selling premade concoctions and wine

Is there an elevator to the Mezzanine? For elderly/handicapped?
Written January 17, 2018
Hello!
Unfortunately, there is no elevator in the theatre. There is an accessible restroom on the orchestra level.
If you need any more information regarding accessibility in one of our theatres, you can visit the Telecharge website, and under the "Access Information" tab, you will find a plethora of information regarding accommodations for those needing them when coming to the theatre.

Hello, We will be in New York on the end of October, we would like to see this show, Anastasia. We have 2 daughters, 7 and 3 years old. I was wondering if it's allowed to see this show with young kids? Thank you
Written September 30, 2017
The official age for Broadway shows is 4 years old and up. One challenge is that your younger child may not be able to see the stage easily from the seats. I doubt the ushers will bother you if you bring her so it is really your choice. When we take young children to the theater, we try to sit close to the stage. The balcony seats are too far away.
An alternative suggestion is the New Victory Theater which is on 42nd Street. It is theater that is designed for young children. The shows are wonderful. It has a website that you can check for shows. You can buy seats online.
Bon voyage

We have tickets to se Anastasia. But they are Box tickets (specifically F right Box). We were warned (after purchase) that these are partial view seats but can't get a clear response on how much we may actually miss. Now I'm freaking out. Has anyone sat there? Are these bad seats?
Written April 11, 2017
I have not sat in your exact seats so I can only guess. I guess that only a partial corner of the stage will be cut off, especially in the background . The front part of the stage should be visible.
Ask the usher if you can move once most people are seated . Often, they can move you if you are unhappy with your seats.
Written April 12, 2017
What are considered orchestra left or right partial seats? I want to avoid buying those, but cannot find any info as to the exact seat numbers. All I have heard is to avoid the extreme sides.
Written January 26, 2017
Partial view seats will be marked as "partial view" on Telecharge, the official ticket seller for the Broadhurst Theatre.
