About Nice Guy Tours
On our tours, we leisurely make our way through NYC, stopping to talk about landmarks and eating at the best establishments along the way. We get to know each other and in the end, our bellies are full from the food and laughter. On our Greenwich Village Tour, we make our way through the Washington Square Park. Our stops include the best fries ever at Pommes Frites, Mamoun’s Falafel - a staple since 1971, Faicco’s for some Italian specialities, Porto Rico Importing Co. for a cup of joe, and Molly’s Cupcakes. We also have a one-two pizza lunch with Artichoke and Bleecker Street Pizzas. There’s also a bunch of historic stops on the tour including the Stonewall Inn. Our Lower East Side Tour, we learn about the pushcart culture of the early 1900s and so much more in this ever changing neighborhood. Stops include Economy Candy, Kossar’s for bagels and bialys, The Pickle Guys, Doughnut Plant, Russ and Daughters, and the iconic Katz’s Deli for pastrami. We also hit the Essex Market.

Billy was great! If you like food and history, this tour is for you. You get a taste of Greenwhich Village, while Billy entertains you with Greenwich Village’s colorful history. We especially loved the story about Larry Selman. This is a wonderful way to learn about NY and go out for lunch, too.

My husband and I loved this tour. It is a nice mid of details about the neighborhood and food tastings. We were worried the portions would be small, but they were a nice size. Be sure to show up hungry!

Put this on your “must” list! Guided walking tours are the best way to really get to know the city; each neighborhood is so unique and shouldn’t be missed. Dante truly is a Nice Guy and is a fantastic host. He shares great history and info about the area, is engaging and funny, and takes you to the best spots to taste iconic eats! And there is SO MUCH food! You will NOT leave hungry! Super way to spend part of any trip to NYC.

Great afternoon! Highly recommend. Food was delicious and lots of it. Dante was a personable host who obviously puts a lot of effort in the tour. Two pizzas! Bagels, cupcakes, falafel, and more. So yummy.

Wow! My husband and I have been on 27 food tours around the world, and this is right up there with the best of them! Dante is wonderful and knowledgeable about all things New York, and his incessant curiosity leads him to looking up the origins of phrases and traditions, which he was more than happy to recount as we talked about random things. It is the first time on our many food tours where both he and the food each made up 50 percent of the wonderful experience. Oh, yeah, there was FOOD! Fabulous, tender pastrami at Katz’s Deli; terrific rugelah from Russ & Daughters; outstanding bagels with schmears of cream cheese at Kossar’s; Vanessa’s delish pork dumplings; mind-blowing doughnuts at the Doughnut Plant; three levels of “sour” in three pickles from The Pickle Guy; and a first-time, thick, enjoyable potato knish from Yonah Schimmel’s Knishes. We even walked through an old-fashioned candy shop! Quite a tour around the world, huh? But it was a tour around the lower East Side, and we appreciated the history lesson and background that came with the food as we walked and talked. It was thoroughly enjoyable, and at a really affordable price. Go! Just go! Book it and have as great a time in this wonderful old area of New York as we did! Say hi to our friend, Dante…we just met him today, but he is that kind of guy, one who feels like a friend for life.
