I previously went to NYC 30 years ago and wasn't able t to visit Liberty Island or Ellis Island let alone even seeing the Statue of Liberty in her full glory as she was being renovated and covered by scaffolding. So on this trip it...More
What a great tour! We started at St. Paul’s chapel, a beautiful old building with lots of history. We gained many interesting bits of information about various parts of the site, and our guide, Jimmy, was able to use comic relief perfectly to offset the...More
We booked this using the New York Sightseeing pass and were very impressed.

At the southernmost tip of Manhattan, the Financial District is where New York City began as a center of commerce. Today, the historic streets and beautiful setting are complemented by museums, countless skyscrapers, and the heart of the Financial District, home to Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange. Catch the Staten Island Ferry for an unbeatable view of the skyline and Statue of Liberty, or sail to Ellis
Island to learn about the vital immigrant history of the city.
The ferry ride was maybe 15-20 minutes each way. It did not rock and roll. If you think it would be a problem, just take something for motion sickness about 1/2 before boarding. The tour was great and informative. Ground... More
The ferry ride was maybe 15-20 minutes each way. It did not rock and roll. If you think it would be a problem, just take something for motion sickness about 1/2 before boarding. The tour was great and informative. Ground Zero museum was well worth the extra charge. The tour was from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. Ellis Island gave you the perspective of what it would have been like for those coming to this country. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, there is a break for lunch which can be used to refuel and relax a little bit. Our guide Mike was great. Hope this helps.
