About
In New York City, there are many reasons for pain and stress to invade our bodies. I believe it is my job, and the healing therapists who work with me, to rebalance the Qi and create a regenerative, holistic experience for my clients. I wish to help remove stress and pain from my clients' bodies in a clean, relaxed and modern setting. It is my hope and desire that all who come to The Mandarin Spa will discover the power and energy of acupressure and reflexology so that they can enjoy a more relaxed and pain-free life.

The area
Address
Neighborhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
How to get there
  • 5th Ave • 4 min walk
  • 47–50 Sts – Rockefeller Center • 4 min walk

A gem! Absolutely amazing!! Must try!!
Jul 2017 • Friends
Oh my god this massage! We came for my friends bachelorette party for the 60 min Swedish massage. Holy amazing!!! At one point the woman was completely on top of me; stretching me out, massaging muscles I didn't know I had, and then they roll you over and the head massage is to die for! We were all amazed at how different, intricate, and unique this massage was!
*best part it was $80!!!!! $80 for 60 minute every inch of your body massage!!
This place is a gem! I'm already thinking of a couples massage for my husbands birthday!!!

Relaxing
Dec 2016 • Business
Top notch but we had the misfortune of going on the annual "Silent Night" when not only could we not talk but there was no music during treatments nor food delivered afterwards as planned. The massage was super relaxing and the facilities are the best - especially the plush soft terry robes. Small pool and steam room but nothing like the facilities at the Peninsula.

Best massage I've had in this price range
Jul 2015 • Solo
I was staying in the Theater District, had been wanting a foot massage to wrap up my week in NYC, and had a short window of time to find something before leaving town. I read that spa prices in Chinatown were lower for comparable services, but had no time to spare so I opted for proximity. Very glad I found Mandarin Spa, where they gave me a 60 minute foot/hand/head combo. The small, unpretentious facility was clean, efficient and relaxing, and everyone was very friendly and solicitous. My therapist, Sinee, was outstanding, responsive to my requests, very strong but not brutal, and this marked the first time that I've actually enjoyed having the sides of my neck rubbed -- something I usually ask to be avoided as it's never felt good. While this was not the very best massage I've ever received, it easily ranks in the top third (and among sessions at 3x the cost) and is definitely the best I've had for inflation-adjusted $80. Highly recommended if you're in that area and want a brief respite from the din of Times Square and the effects of NYC concrete on your feet.

Not at the level of the past reviews
Apr 2015 • Family
We were looking for a nice place close to where we were staying for a massage/facial in NYC. Based on the previous reviews we chose this place. It did not live up to any of the reviews. The facial was the worst I havehad, and I have had a lot! Old techniques, equipment, questionable products and very rough. The massages were ok, long wait and not really worth the wait. My recommendation is pay a bit more and go somewhere better.

Amazing
Absolutely amazing. The place is very understated but the service and the people were top notch. We had Thai massages, and when I tell you it was the beat massages we ever had, I mean it! Highly recommend!!!

Save the day!
Jul 2014
We were touring the city on vacation and we just stumbled on this place. We were so tired of the walking then we scored on this relaxing spa. We were so pampered! I recommend the massage combination. We bounced back and had energy to go out later that night. Perfect way to maximize your stay in the Big Apple!!!

The Mandarin Spa is GREAT!
Jun 2014 • Solo
I have been a regular at the Mandarin Spa and their new location is a nice improvement. More space, nice rooms and the usual great service. I usually have a full bodywork massage, and always leave feeling great. The staff is friendly and competent, and they offer all kinds of services - I've had foot massage, neck and shoulder when I've worked out too much. Try out the Mandarin Spa with Lisa and her crew. You won't be disappointed!

Great traditional Chinese spa!!!

I just got the best full body massage yesterday Traveling is hard on my body and I need a good strong massage sometime during our travels to relieve the aches and pains. They mentioned they'd just moved so the place is super clean, uber calm and professional looking. LIsa (I think she might be the owner) worked on me and knew just how to get the kinks out of my cranky back. We will be here for a couple of weeks, I think I'm going back for a facial! I'll try to get my husband to come, too. Inexpensive ... definitely worth every penny and more!
