We are very disappointed from the New Years Party at the Roof. We paid 100$ admission fee in the hope of having a good party and an astonishing city view at New Years Eve 2018 to 2019. The disappointment started by not having enough space...More

Half of the bar was reserved, therefore the rest of us were squashed in. Windows filthy - couldn't see the 'view'. Nasty, pushy for tips barmaid. One waitress who was just not interested. Therefore you then have to go to the bar yourself, order your...More

Newly in town from Aus and thought we would go in for a few drinks. We promptly lost access to half the rooftop because of a booking that no one told us about, meaning we lost our table and seats. With everyone jammed into one...More

Nice rooftop with a view on Central Park, perfect place to enjoy a cocktail at sunset. Cocktails are a bit pricey but i guess it's normal for the location and the view.

First class view towards Central Park with plush indoor and outdoor seating areas. Good range of drinks and cocktails, but expensive. Staff not particularly friendly unless you appear to be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars!

On a clear night, the view is super nice. However, on a non clear night, I would go elsewhere, as the drinks are expensive. On the plus side, they are GOOD substantial, non watered down drinks. Very, very packed on a clear, crisp night.

Enjoyed nice evening at the Roof. Nice to be able to enjoy NYC a bit from above and without having to walk further. Also it is close to where I normally stay. The bar has a more honest relaxed feel to it than many minimalist...More

Beautiful view of Central Park from above! Drinks are priced about the same as other restaurants in Manhattan. Service was a little bit slow but overall a good experience.

The view is great and the drinks are good but expensive (the wine was cheaper). The service is okay but not great.

Trip Report for seven girl friends (10 Replies)
This trip was the 15th annual girls trip for seven 67 year old's from high school. Other trips have included Nashville, Chicago, Bonita Springs, Sarasota, French Lick, Put in Bay, Las Vegas and more. This was our first for Savannah. We loved our spacious house which was a block off Forsyth Park . Only two of us had been to Savannah before so the trip was packed with adventure for 4 days. BTW, two of us drove in and the others flew. The following pretty much sums up the trip. We ate at...More

Roof Garden Cafe at the Met (5 Replies)
If you are going to to the Roof Garden Cafe at the Met for drinks, are you still supposed to pay the $20 admission? Have friends from out of town coming and they want me to meet them there. I've been to the Met about a dozen times, so I won't be visiting any of the exhibits, just hitting the Martini bar.

Well, admission to the museum is pay-what-you-wish, so you could simply pay $1. But try asking them if you can go up to the roofdeck and see what they say.

DH Car rental rates have SHOT THROUGH THE ROOF today! (0 Replies)
I originally booked our rental car through Discount Hawaii months ago....last month, the rate went down to $284. (a $50. drop) for a mid-size car 8 days on Maui. I've checked daily, sometimes twice a day to see if they've dropped any more. They'd been hovering around $300....BUT, this morning when I checked, they were UP OVER $550....for the same dates/car type....I about fell in the floor when I saw that..... I was really hoping to start see more of a decrease..........not a skyrocketing...More
