My daughter and I went to NYC for her 18th birthday! This was the highlight of our trip! We had two great tour guides Edwina and Sarah! Both of them were spectacular! We went two 6 different showrooms on this tour and had such a great time talking with the designers and finding great deals!! I would definitely recommend this tour if you are in NYC!! It will be memorable for us! Thank you again Ladies and Shop Gotham for an incredible experience!! Michelle & Avery

I took my daughter and 5 friends on a Private Shopping tour through Soho. We had such a great time! 3 hours flew by. Our guide, Natalie, was awesome! She was courteous, interested and very attentive to each of the girls. She made my daughter feel so special for her 13th birthday! They thought it was the best party ever. Shop Gotham gave me sound advice from my first inquiry phone call right up until the day of our tour. The whole experience was well organized, well planned and well executed. The staff was very professional, my emails and phone calls were promptly returned and the service was excellent. This tour is a must for visitors and seasoned New Yorkers alike.

This was an amazing morning for myself and 2 teen girls who were actually panicked about not having enough shopping time in NYC. We had some flexibility on our trip, so I called the office and they directed us to the Soho tour and a specific guide who is great with teens. Give Camber a raise! She is AMAZING. Even though there were 6 others in our group of all ages, Camber had this situation well in hand and everyone seemed really pleased and excited by it all. My girls found some funky well priced unusual pieces. And we definitely did not break the bank. WE Highly recommend Shop Gotham’s program.

We went to Mood Fabric, Cosmetic Plus & M & J Trimming--I could walk into those places without the tour. None of the "insider" places we visited were worth the time and effort; and then there was the long, long walk. We arrived at the (open to the public) La Perla sample sale at the end of the day so everything was picked over and it was a waste of time. What did I learn? Stay away from the Insider Tour.

So much fun to see the small shops not open to the public. My favorite was Linda Richards because I found a fabulous fur for unbelievable price. Jacque, our tour guide was an absolute delight and very knowledgable.

This was a true insider NYC garment shopping tour. It lasted 3 hrs and we visited 6 designer showrooms. Each showroom presented sample sales with the current season collections. The prices were amazing! Many 50-70% off retail. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and upbeat. I would encourage this tour with each visit to NYC. I hear that May and November are the best times to go. But I had a great time in April. I went solo but I had a great time with the couple in our group. If (I mean when) I come again I would bring my daughters and/or girlfriends.

A group of us travelled from Philadelphia for this tour on November 26th, which happened to be my birthday. It was a rainy, cold day; however, the weather did not stop the fun. This was the best rainy day experience that I’ve ever had!!! We had a fabulous time, and we’re doing it again in the spring!! Camber was an excellent tour guide and we would love for her to be our tour guide again if possible. I highly recommend this tour! It's a wonderful, fun filled girl’s day out.

My friend and I took the Shop Gotham NYC Shopping tour in NYC last Friday afternoon. What a treat! We have been coming to NYC for years and have always tried to figure out how to shop in the garment district but never quite figured it out. Finally we found Shop Gotham on the Amtrak site when we booked our train from Baltimore to NYC. Everything about the day went exceptionally well. And that is in spite of a torrential rain for most of the day. Walking through the streets of NYC in the rain can be bad but we gave it very little thought as we went from shop to shop. Our guides Keve and Melinda were great - friendly, funny, knowledgeable and honest about how you looked in something that you tried on. The shops we visited had a range of prices, good quality, and friendly people to help. There was no pressure to buy. We had ample time to find items, try them on, and make our decision. There was a good mix - purses, clothing, jewelry. At the end of the trip Keve gave us the names of a few more places we could go on our own and advice on navigating. Not only am I recommending it to friends who like to shop, but I plan to go again next time I get there myself.

I'm hearing all of these great reviews, and I don't know if it was our tour guide or what. I took my daughter and 3 of her friends for her 13th birthday. We got there and our tour guide asked if we had anywhere in particular we wanted to go and our price range. We thought that she would take these things into consideration, but she obviously didn't. The girls said that they saw a lot of stores in Soho that they wanted to see. She said that Nolita was more for adults, and she had other adults coming on the tour so she would have to "juggle", even though we had bought 9 out of the 13 tickets and were only using 5 of them. She took us to Nolita, and pointed out a few things, then said meet here in 30 minutes. So obviously we were going to go to the places she picked out and they were all TERRIBLE! They didn't meet age, price, or even style. By the next time we separated, the girls were begging me to ditch the tour and go to Soho. I spent a lot of money on the tour so I said no. We stayed in Nolita, going to these really bad shops. The girls were begging the guide to go to Soho the whole time, but finally, we went. 15 minutes before our tour ended. We raced to one of the many stores the girls said they wanted to go to in Soho, not allowing the girls to go into any shops in between. She dropped us off there, and said "Thank you bye." So basically this was not a tour of Soho and Nolita, it was a tour of Nolita. She didn't point out any discounts like the website said she would. My daughter ended up crying all the day the next day (yes, her birthday) because she was so excited to go New York and had an awful time. If your planning on going to New York, stick to the fun stuff in Times Square, or at least do not use Shop Gotham tours.

As Senior Vice President of Wealth Management At Morgan Stanley, I recently had business clients come to Manhattan with their wives and daughters. This service allowed me to conduct business and provide an added value of keeping the wives and daughters happy. Eveyone was so pleased with the walking tour, and the great deals that they would have never been able to get alone. Providing this service also helped me secure more business. The tour guide providing guidance and expertise on the neighborhood, clothing, etc. and was cute. I also recommend this for people who have out of town guests that want to go shopping (who doesn't?) Also ,if you wanted to - you could even have your girls go on the tour while you and your husband enjoyed a matinee.

Hi, In general what are the price ranges of items, generally speaking....also does everyone usually buy items? I'm just wondering if it's awkward if you go to someones showroom and don't find anything to buy.

Here are some general pricing guideless:
-Apparel: tops, skirts, dresses, pants etc: will run from $60- $170. (the showrooms are a range of price points and "levels"
- Handbags: $150- $225
- Other Accessories: kimonos, scarves, jewelry: $25- $150
- Outerwear: (in season): $100- $400
We rarely have anyone who buys nothing at all, but No, each showroom does not expect Everyone to purchase.

hi Jennifer, thank you for your inquiry. We don't recommend for under 18 as the Shopping is for "grown up" clothing. There just there isn't much that a 15 year old will enjoy seeing or want to buy.. I took my 16-year-old niece on this tour and she loved it! As the other commentor noted, it's not geared for teenagers, but think she'd probably love the jewelry shop at a very minimum and I wouldn't be surprised if she found a few things to purchase.

Thank you for your inquiry. The showrooms in the Garment Center do Not carry petites. As to the stores in Soho/Nolita.. I would say No also. In general, as you know,, real petite lines are hard to find and not generally in boutiques, just in the department stores. Sorry , wish we had better news for you.

hi Bens mom, thanks for the question and interest. The Showrooms each have a variety of sizes. Most carry 2- 12 with a few size 14's or Larges. Not ALL items will be in ALL sizes but there is most definitely a representation for all hope that helps. .

Not the names your have mentioned and we cannot reveal them in advance.
