About The League of Kitchens
The League of Kitchens is a culinary dream-team of women from around the world who are excited to teach you their family recipes! Traditionally classes are held in the homes of our instructors, but we're currently operating online! Our online classes are special, meaningful opportunities to share cooking, culture, and connection--just like our real life experiences. Workshops are interactive and participatory and offer opportunities for connection, cultural engagement and exchange, culinary learning and discovery, and exceptional recipe instruction. Through this experience, the League of Kitchens seeks to build cross-cultural connection and understanding, to increase access to traditional cooking knowledge, and to provide meaningful, well-paid employment and training for immigrants. The League of Kitchens has been featured in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and The Chew, among others.

I fully enjoyed the whole prepping and cooking process via zoom with Aiko and my colleagues. We did a team building session with my team who work remotely across the globe. It was a real treat learning how to cook a certain japanese dish and eating it together. Aiko was great in leading the class and showcasing a delicious japanese meal!

I loved it so much!!! Jeanette was so sweet and attentive, she even taught me my first Lebanese word after I said I was looking to connect more with my Lebanese heritage. The food was incredible and she was so patient with everyone, even if we didn’t have all the ingredients or did a step wrong she made it work!

It's wonderful to participate in a on-line cooking class where the instructor could give you feedback in real time. Unlike cooking from a recipe or a video, LOK on-line classes allow you to interact not only with the instructor but the other classmates as well. The camaraderie amongst all added to the overall experience.; Our meal was scrumptious. I would certainly recommend LOK!

Aiko's virtual cooking class was amazing. She did an excellent job of teaching us to make Japanese food. I would say that the class is for all range of cook but you should make sure you have the right equipment so you don't get frustrated mid-course. Would do it again.

Angie was a great instructor for our online cooking class featuring Mexican food. She is very engaging and her pace was perfect for us. The recipes are delicious and I will make the salsa verde and guacamole again. It is difficult to get great tasting, spicy Mexican food at our local restaurants. Now I can just make it at home (with the spicy level that I love)!! Thanks again, Angie!"
