Our daughter got us tickets to Stomp, which is playing Off Broadway. The 1 hour, 45 minute show was non stop action. Even our seven year old great grandson was all eyes and ears for an hour and a half. It is hard to describe the show. Think of the show title and then picture brooms, garbage can lids, and... More

We enjoyed the show with our teenage girl. The beat and the way the performers communicate with the audience with no words is one of a kind

Theater is quite far off broadway. Theater itself is perfect for the neighborhood that it's in. Very unassuming place. Certainly no frills. Had seen once before, but it's very entertaining, albeit loud at times. Not words, no singing, just unique musical sounds, performed by some very talented performers,

Wonderfully entertaining! This is not what you expect when you go to theater but that's the best part. The cast is energetic and keep you engaged for the entire show. Without a word spoken it is rather funny too. All eight of us loved it.

This is my 4th time going to see Stomp! Went with my parents (their first time), took my son for his birthday (his first time also), he was a deer in headlights the whole time. They always add new routines which keeps it fresh and the staple routines never fail. For the next week my son could not stop making... More

For those who love music, this is a great show. The actors use really incredible objects to create nonstop melodies for you. It's different and that's what's great about it, not just another night on Broadway.

Orpheum Theatre, small and intimate, all seats are good seats. The show was awesome! Very talented performers, full of energy and very fit! You can see that they too were really enjoying themselves. Funny.....the newspaper skit was a riot I was crying I was laughing so hard. They were all in sync and on point - amazing. There were times... More

We went to see the show on a Wednesday night and it was fantastic even though the place was only about halfway full. It's a pretty small place and you can probably see everything well enough in the back rows as well

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
