This show is excellent. 90 minutes of coordinated rhythm and movement. Loved it. I saw it last about 15 years ago and it was good to see some changes around incorporating more "modern" life materials. All in all and excellent time and great entertainment. The biggest issue with the location at the Orpheum is that the seats are met for... More

Intimate theater, at a sort of an out of the way location for out of town travelers. We enjoyed a great vantage point from the balcony. The show connects and is understandable by all age levels. Relies on beats and body language, instead of dialog. Relatively affordable compared to other New York shows.

This is the fourth time I've seen this show but the first time in NYC. It was brilliant. I loved every second of it. The evening went far too quickly. It's a must for any age. Brilliant show

The show is amazing - and it's really different from your 'normal' Broadway show! It is 'grunchy', funny, and very noisy! The performers are talented and fit and energetic. Go ... Just go!

This was a great, thrilling and talent-filled show. It was exciting and pretty captivating, considering that there was pretty much no talking, but rather tons of creative sounds and "blaring" talent!

Second time seeing the show. And it was as good as the first time. The part with the lighters was my favorite, don't remember that from the first time. It was also very cool to see how much fun all of the performers were having.

We had a great night watching this show. Which was all about beat and using any thing to make the beat except musical instruments. Recommend though a good 15 dollar tax ride from central station. Plenty of good bars and reztaurants in the area.

I had always wanted to see a Stomp show and finally had a chance to go to the New York performance. Wow, what can I say but that the show was driven on high octane pure energy throughout. The range of accessories used by the performers was mind boggling, yes at times the decibel level rose above a level that... More

Stomp has not aged. I saw it many years ago and was equally impressed last week when I saw it again with my teens. Great energy, rhythm, dancing, humor...! We loved every moment of the show!

I live 45 minutes from NYC and never saw Stomp until this year. What a treat! It was excellent... so creative... reasonably priced ... do not miss this show. The area around the Orpheum theater was a delightful surprise. After the show we stumbled upon the "Burp Castle" where many locals hang out. Also known as the "Shush Bar", if... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
