Wonderful experience at the New Amsterdam Theatre. The employees did a wonderful job in getting everyone checked in at a timely manner, actually it exceeded my expectations. They checked for your vaccination status before you go in, they recommend you come 40 minutes early, once your vaccination status is checked you proceed inside to have your ticket scanned. The show was amazing. Loved it! It was so colorful and funny. The actor that plays Genie is awesome. Would definitely recommend this show for children of all ages. The show is about 2 1/2 hours and that's including an intermission. Bring a snack or water bc they don't sell food.

Tickets for both of us 160.00 we sat in Mezzanine. We wished we could have gotten tickets in main area. but they were sold out.
Getting into the theater was overwhelming! Employees yelling at guest to get on a long line that passed the end of the building. Showing prof of vaccine card is required. Once in the building. We had no bag checks . A metal dector A bottle of water and pack of sour patch was $11.00 Water fountain closed The show started 5 min late but it was worth the wait!

I went to see this musical during a city break with my family; me and my mum went along. Getting in was very quick and efficient and finding the seats very easy. We were sat in the balcony, row C, and had a very good view of the stage.

The show itself was very enjoyable - I've seen several other Disney stage productions and this was definitely one of the better ones. The special effects and staging were great too, given that they were created several years ago. The acting was slightly disappointing and pretty mediocre with the exception of the actors playing Jafar and Iago who were the most entertaining. However, the singing was top notch and the story was as enjoyable and lovable as ever.

The reason I have taken one star off is down to the other people sitting around us; although I understand this was not anything to do with the show itself, soon after act one began there were two women down a level or two who were screaming at each other arguing and this was allowed to continue for far too long, it's a miracle the actors could concentrate on their lines! Children behind us talked loudly the whole way through and several people turned phones on or took photos with flash during the production. This was all very distracting and given the ticket price it was quite annoying that we couldn't fully immerse ourselves in the experience.

We really enjoyed the actual performance - it was extremely well done. However, the discourteous and impolite behavior of certain of the staff detracted from the experience. I have been to many Disney productions and experiences over the years. This is the first time I have experienced this type of behavior (we witnessed that we were not the only people who were the recipients of such behavior so it was not an isolated incident). Please train ALL of your staff at the Amsterdam theatre to provide instructions/directions to customers courteously so that they can better enjoy this expensive experience.

It was not bad. But it was not magical, either. First, good things. Jafar (Dennis Stowe) was fantastic, pure evil and very funny, together with his little helper. I liked Aladdin, the only time in the show when I got goosebumps is when he was told he had no family and he started to sing. He was playing from the heart, and it reached mine. Our Jasmin was the understudy (Tia Altinay), she was good too. The Genie was not, though. He had no charisma, high pitched voice, kind of annoying, and it was not good. He, though, thought he was the best since sliced bread, and it should be the audience to decide. He was supposed to be the best part of the show. He wasn't.
Now, the dancers (the mass numbers). There was no chemistry between them. It was the first time at a show I thought to myself, "These people don't even like each other". Everyone knew their steps, but together there was no exchange of energy between the actors and the audience. I didn't leave uplifted, elated, as I would do after a Disney Broadway show, like Lion King.
We had a good time, but in my opinion, Aladdin has such tremendous potential, with clever engineering, flying carpet, fantastic costumes, beautiful music, witty dialogue. Yet, the magic is missing. Sorry guys.

What a wonderful night!! The actors were phenomenal. The singing was beautiful. The comedy was fantastic. I don’t have one bad thing to say about the show. I loved it!! So much talent on one stage.

I will say that there was zero leg room on the second floor. And I mean zero. I’m 5 foot 2 and my knees were touching the railing. They did provide boosters for kids which was great.

And to anyone who sat beside us, I must explain myself. I got us drinks and candy before the show started. I got my husband a beer and handed it to my daughter to hand to him and said hand dads beer to him and take yours. It was sprite but anyway. Midway through the first act she said very loudly so that I’m sure the 20 people around us could hear, “Dad I spilled my beer!!” It was NOT beer but it was hilarious. So, sorry to the cleaning staff.

I've seen a lot of musicals over the years and was expecting to throughly enjoy this one, like I have most of the others I've seen, but for some reason it just left me cold. The only exception was the performance of 'A Whole New World' which was fantastic. The singing was sensational and I still have no idea how they managed to get the carpet to look as if it was flying! Apart from that I was really disappointed at shelling out a huge amount of money for something that was not very impressive.

From someone who went because I thought it would be enjoyed by the others in my party, I quickly discovered that this is an amazing production and highly enjoyable by everyone. The music, costumes, sound, and choreography is Disney quality. $10 drinks and $5 bottles of water aside, I would go again tomorrow if I could, and this time I would look forward to it instead of being pleasantly surprised.

Fun show - the 8 year old loves it, the 5 year old thought it was a bit long, but made it. We were fourth row up mezzanine and the stadium seating in that section is helpful for a kid’s view. The theater has booster seats as well. As of right now (Nov 2021) anyone over 12 needs proof of vaccination and the kiddos under need proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid test within 6 hours of show time. Most or the the tents in NYC are 24 hour PCR tests, which we learned the hard way. The CTS vans in Times Square do rapid!

Talented cast, the genie is the star and so fun. Definitely a very Disney production.

Oh, and don’t take a pedicab from outside the show - you’ll be tired and there will be 50 smiling people offering to take you to your hotel. 120$ for a mile later…

Outstanding performance!! I saw the show on the 13th of January and I was blown away. Visiting from Scotland this was the first Broadway show I have ever seen and wow I was seriously impressed! The talent on display was phenomenal. Dancing was such high energy and the Genie really sold the show also! Costumes were gorgeous and set was also really impressive. The theatre itself was probably the most beautiful I have ever been in. We had excellent tickets in the stalls (row D, seat number 7) and had a perfect view, so close in fact that we could see sweat drip off the performers as they put so much energy in! Front of house staff were also excellent and there was a great variety of merch on sale, I bought the pin badge and the program which also included the CD. Thank you cast and crew of Aladdin for an unforgettable evening!
