Firstly, I'm a Jazz fan. I go to many clubs and performances and have jazz on the radio all the time. So, I asked to go to Dizzy's club for my birthday. It took me forever to actually get a reservation. When we got to the club, we were handed an elaborate "bar" menu with expensive prices. Then the show.... More

This is a beautiful venue to enjoy Jazz and good Cajun food. The room has a wall of windows overlooking Central park and the skyline. Georgeous. The Jazz we hear was excellent. They have a full menu but they also have sandwiches and bar food. We opted for the bar food and our sandwiches were excellent. The drinks were also... More

This is a beautiful club with a panoramic view of NYC skyline. The atmosphere is elegant, although people were casually dressed. The music was great, drinks were good.

Beautiful venue! Amazing skyline view! The music was awesome! Super fun place to hear jazz (prefer the ambience to Birdland and Blue Note) This would have been five stars, but we ate "dinner" and the food and service were so almost below average...my recommendation would be to skip eating anything, endure the mediocre options of drinks, jazz it out, and... Saw a big band jazz at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola. Great venue, great act of course or we wouldnt have gone there. First time and it won't be the last. Got in line for the 9:30 PM show at 8:45 and ended up fight in front. But almost any seat at a table or the bar would be fine. Nice... More

Wife and I went here 9-19 to see and hear the Josh Evans Band. Great performance, including 3 different vocalists who all were excellent. Great nightime view of the city through the large windows behind band stand. This club is quite classy. Staff were friendly. A great experience. I hope to go there again the next time we get to... Visited Dizzy's twice in the last year and both times I enjoyed the music. The food, drinks, and service quality is average and nothing special, but the venue and the view are gorgeous. During both of my visits, the big surprise was the fact that you aren't allowed to talk during the performances. This isn't mentioned anywhere on the website,... More

Thank you for your review. We apologize that you didn’t fully enjoy your experiences with us. Out of respect to the performers, we always request that conversations be held to a quiet whisper so as not to disrupt the performance, as is typical of similar jazz clubs. A great way to get the best of both worlds is to arrive... More

The hard thing about Dizzy's is getting-in and getting a good seat, but once you've got that out of the way, you have the chance for a great evening of music. In the big room on the fifth floor with the majestic view of Central Park, there are shows at 7:30 and 9:30 with a late show at 11 pm.... More

I don't normally listen to a lot of jazz but came here with family, willing to give it a try. The musicians performing here were fantastic, and I went away with a greater appreciation for the genre. The setting is great for jazz, a mix between a blues bar and the high-end Lincoln Center. Their desserts are good.

Dizzy's has great music, beautiful views of Columbus Circle and Central Park, excellent drinks and good food (for a jazz club). I recommend going to the earlier shows as you get to see the park in the light and then the lights of the neighboring buildings at night.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
