The perfect place for Jazz in NYC. Buying a ticket here you can also have access to Mezzrow Jazz Club (one block away). If Smalls is full try Mezzrow first and then come back to Smalls. It is worth waiting.

The smalls is everything you think a Jazz Club would be; small, intimate, entertaining, and eccentric. There's limited seating, but that just adds to the experience in my opinion. My favourite part was the house cat that lives there and provides extra entertainment for all...More

My first time ever to a jazz club and I absolutely loved it. It is quite busy though so make sure to be on time otherwise you might not be able to get in anymore.

Cool club, but jazz we saw (while good!) was very generic and a little tame. Expensive $20 cover charge too. Wicked space inside though, cozy!

Jazz evening in this place was the highlight of our New York stay. Make sure you have a seat and go early: around seven. Benches to sit on and wait outside. Excellent music, reasonable price, cosy cellar in a lively part of town.

The owners of this place are true jazz lovers. They have great well known artists in their lineup as well as up and coming musicians. They don't charge an arm and a leg or you can just stay at home and watch every show (past...More

We just loved our evening down in this little Manhattan Island cellar!! Through out the evening we were treated to an intimate performance of jazz & blues. As this is a small venue it pays to arrive early - once the evening commences you will...More

Brilliant, intimate venue, where people are serious about jazz but laid back about everything else. If it's not a NY legend - it deserves to be
