Fantastic! We went to the Top Of The Rock Observation Deck in the day time and the Empire State observation deck at night so we got chance to see how the city changes from day to night. First of all, if you don't like elevators be sure to either close your eyes or concentrate on the people you are with.... More

By night you will see the amazing lights of NYC, the big apple is all under your feet, the only drawback is the high glass wall not helping in getting lovely photos or selfies

Having already done the Empire State earlier in the week in the day I was unsure of visiting this in the evening would be worth while but glad we did. It's worth going up as the views are from a different angle. Only downside the photos are pretty expensive but that's the case with any tourist attraction.

Great views we went up at night as we had already been up the empire state building during the day. So we wanted to see the lights of the city at night. We were not dissapointed the views are terrific. From the statue of liberty to the empire state through to times square the majority of the citys sites are... More

Top of the Rock has huge glass panels that allow an unobstructed view of the city. The view of Central Park is especially stunning. There are indoor and outdoor viewing options.

Beautiful day and loved the view. Everything was well organized, from buy tickets to getting to the top. We did not buy the tour package.

We had previously bought vouchers so went up to the observation deck. It's really good but I think the Empire State is better

From the top of the rock you can see everything. Including the Empire state building and central park. I traveled with my two sons who were impressed with the view and said it was the best view they ever saw. It was a clear night and that really worked out for us.

We choose to view at Top of the rock instead of empire as you get a better view of Central Park and a view of the Empire State Building. From the moment you enter you're wowed with the decor and entertained with the history. The views are incredible. Not overcrowded and you're not timelimited. The glass screens are good to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
