We went there last January... It is a very good experience but the view is so foggy due to snow and cold weather. So I dont advise it during those times.

Good views north, of Central Park, and south. of the Empire State Building. There are three levels, but it can get quite crowded. Buying tickets in advance would be a good idea - entrance is timed. People are packed tightly into the elevators so it's not a god place to visit if you are claustrophobic. It is quite pricey.

This was one if my favorite things to do in NYC! I was able to see for miles around Manhattan and was able to see just how big the city is! Huge buildings as far as you can see! You can go completely around the platforms to see everything!

This was a pretty cool thing to do in New York City. The views are amazing. It was easy getting up - but super long line up to get down... Make sure you aren't in a hurry!

We were on the top of the rock to see the sky changing color at the sunset and the city lighting up. The view were fantastic. However, city pass holders, if you think that you can go straight to the elevator with the pass, you are wrong. You still need to line up to change the city pass with a... More

We went at sunset and it was extremely cold but it was superb. Go early and go around the Rockefeller then go up around sunset.

Had a City Pass and this location made it quick and easy to use. Beautiful views and nice staff. Quick access and lines weren't too long.

I visited at about 10PM and the timing was perfect! No line at all, the weather was great and we could see the city lights sparkle in the night as far as the eye could see. Incredible. Worth visiting for sure.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
