You have to know this place is here - it is int he basement of the building - and there is another bar at street level. But if you work hard enough to find it you wont be disappointed. It is a bit quirky - and offered different events over time (guest beers, tastings etc). It has also provided film locations! (but that can be said of a lot of places in New York). It is not a well decked out bar with flash service or beautiful decor - it is more of a functional hidden drinking hole with some character and personality. Worth a visit. We stayed for the special cider - a bit expensive - but very nice.
