Starving after a Statue of Liberty tour and stopped in for a late lunch. The best part of this place is the beer selection and the nice looking guys who started wandering in after work. Single ladies might want to grab brew and check it out. Oh... the food. Had the Tavern Burger and sweet potato fries as did my... More

While on a New York City tour, our guide stopped at Stone Street for us to have lunch. Based on his recommendation, I checked out the Stone Street Tavern... and it was the perfect lunch. The food was amazing, as was the service. This little gem really is a wonderful spot to escape the hustle and bustle nearby.

Having been here for a quick beer the day before, we headed back there the next day for dinner - arriving just in time as the rain came hammering down! Busy, loud and vibrant, the menu is clean and uncomplicated, the service professional, and the food good and in decent sized portions.

Heard great things about the place, so took a bunch of workers to lunch to give it a shot. It's a great looking place and you get the feel of the old seaport area, but I had a group of 6 and we had to squeeze on benches that were right on top of each other. Not sure what was... More

All of the eateries along this alley had outdoor seating on the lovely spring day we were there. We chose the Stone Street Tavern because they happened to have an unoccupied table outside. We both had the California Chicken Sandwich, and it was delicious. The brunch selections we observed at other tables looked equally good. We also had the beer... More

An ok bar with outdoor seating, close to Wall Street and the Staten Island ferry. The service can be spotty at times but it's usually pretty good. Selection of beers seem to please most people I've gone with but I usually have a gin martini and the're well prepared. The pub food is good, it won't knock your socks off... More

Found this place & this hidden gem of a street by accident. Really great beer & friendly servers! The food looked fantastic but we didn't sample it on this occasion. Will definitely try the food next time!

Good food and fast service. Business lunch here was well done. Lobster salad special very good. The outside area was packed but inside was open and not too hot even though it was 90 degrees out

when you want to experience down-town Manhattan in a different way go to Stone St. it is said to be the 1st paved road in the newly established New York some 150 years ago. Nestled among the high Sky Scrapers are these 2 small roads that maintain the atmosphere of an Old-World Port. The Tavern is a wonderful place to... More
