Neighborhood: Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.

Stopped here on the way back to our hotel as it was close to Halloween and sounded interesting. Beer choice was okay but lots of areas were only open to diners and the owner didn't seem particularly friendly. Nice interior and movie posters however.

We walked in for a beer before a show on a rainy Sunday afternoon at 1:30. The place was empty.
Beer was good, but a bit small for the price. We ordered sliders and they were very good.. Service was indifferent but ok

We were in the area and have heard about this place so decided to pop by for a drink. The venue itself is based on an old English pub which is quite authentic. There’s a few horror-themed props within it’s dark and dingy walls like caged skeletons, a ware wolf and various strange pictures.

There was a restaurant area which I believe was table service although this was quiet. There wasn’t any draught beer on tap so you had to make do with a bottle of something (although there was a large selection) and the bar staff were more interested in talking with friends at the bar whilst serving us which wasn’t very engaging.

One for the list for the horror-theme people

It was late Friday afternoon, chilly in Manhattan, and we hopped a subway downtown. Went to Washington Square and then walked aimlessly for a few blocks. Hungry and thirty, spotted this place. Crazy name but it looked warm and inviting. It was a really GOOD choice! They have tons of ales and beers, but their real WOW came in the form of a simple burger and fries! Perfectly cooked, all of it! The bartender had to handle our order as they had no waitress that early. No problem, food came out fast & it was really good. The fries were real honest-to-Idaho, hand-cut and fried to perfection! Less than 40 bucks for two burgers, fries, IPAs, and a handsome tip for our bar mistress. That’s a deal in this town, y’all.

Truly the WORST bathrooms we have ever seen. The service was TERRIBLE. We sat at one table and never got service so we moved to another where we also never got service. Loud, dirty, and unpleasant. I cannot comment on the food because I never had a chance to order any.

Thought the name was intriguing and curiosity brought us in.
Service was moderate at best. Not unfriendly, but certainly not efficient.
Single stall bathroom was filthy...really bad. Small like an outhouse and almost as dirty.
Food was way below par. Hamburger plain and not tasty at all. Onion rings burned to a crisp. I have to have had a really bad restaurant experience to take the trouble to write a negative review. Good luck and hope you find a different restaurant/bar in the area to try.

The Slaughtered Lamb is a fun local venue! This older establishment has a " Dungeon" theme, good food and drinks, and is extremely busy! Be sure to have Isabella or Mel wait on you! Theyr'e terrific!!

I decided to step into the slaughtered lamb with the expectations to have a good size portion of wings. after looking at the menu the wing choices and flavors peaked my interest. the wings were cooked nicely however the garlic chili sauce did not necessarily measure up to the menu title hence my disappointment. the bar staff was nice along with the people inside the bar. although the wings did not live up to my expectations I will give this place another try at a later date.

Enjoyed our visit here. Nice quiet spot in cool area. Good Guinness. Great for a group for pre or post dinner drinks.

Designed to look like a British Pub and loosely themed on the pub from American Werewolf in London we went in to check out the menu, we had a drink and left. In the US you get used to quite smothering service and this was actually like going in to a crap London pub, abrupt and unhelpful. The beer was ok but we decided to move on rather than buy any food. I believe you can judge an establishment on the cleanliness of its toilets, these were not good.
