Always fun to spend time here

We always enjoying spending an hour or so here looking at -- and usually buying -- some cool products that you won't see anywhere else.

The MOMA design store sits across from the entrance of the Museum, somewhat surrealistically surrounded by a hot dog stand, a Brazilian steakhouse and parked yellow cabs. If you like modern art, you'll find plenty of applications of said art –- from futuristic housewares to umbrellas to Andy Warhol posters to jewelry and even tacky cat-clocks -– all expensive, but... We have been acquiring original art from the various iterations of this store for many years. The unusual collection of products always provides surprises and unexpected ideas for presents or own use. I recommend a stop to see what they have.

Easy to get lost here for hours - always visit here first on my New York trips - great store for gifts to take home with new jewellry designs to interest your imagination. Variety of products from the practical, home-ware, jewellry, watches etc. etc.; so much to take home, I always buy an extra suitcase or backpack for these products.

Artistic and interesting objects including a wide range of household items and designer jewellery, lamps and furniture. My favourites were the small scale models of designer chairs from the 20th century. It's a great place to browse, but not a cheap place to buy.

You will find unique items ranging from jewelry, to trays, to objects of art. Prices are not inexpensive but you won't find these items elsewhere. All are top quality. As a side note, you do not need to pay admission to the museum to visit the store. If you're near Columbus Circle, stop in to see what they have.

If you love design stores as much as me, then you'll love this store. Lots of cool stuff from books to house utensils, shame i dont have enough luggage space to carry it all back to Sydney! Obviously it would be better if you visit MoMa first so you can relate to the products they sell, but not necessary.

This store has such an amazing variety of items and gifts, it's wonderful! I only wish it stayed open a bit longer, as I would have liked to have spent more time shopping

Everything my husband and I visit NYC our first stop is the MOMA design store. We are never disappointed with what we find. Despite a crowd, the service and checkout were excellent.

My family and I visited the MoMA Design Store and loved all the cool products and designs. These are everyday items that have been designed with a different twist, all with high level of function.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
