My best tip is to located the very helpful and friendly staff with the Red Caps and T Shirts on. They will make your train connection hassle free. Thank you so much for helping us find our way so easily and stress free.

After a few trips you get an idea of how it works. We were using it for the LIRR, so we had to go all the way downstairs. It's amazing how much is there, but once you walk around a bit, you see the patterns...More

We used Penn Station a couple of times for the subway and for Amtrak. For the subway, buy a travel card. We bought one for about 10 dollars each which gave us 3 rides as it is a set fee regardless of how far you...More

Not the jewel to visit that Grand Central is so only visit if you need to get a train from here! All rather basic but it works OK.

Since we don't travel by rail often we found it helpful to find a RedCap (easily found). We were about 1 hour before departure but later would be fine. He took our bags and placed them on his luggage cart. An advantage was... More
