Concert

Used to be one of my favorite concert venues in the city ...then bought VIP tickets that had no seats and no guarantee of a view for $100.

I went to emblem3's concert here on June 27th and I loved it!! The lighting in the venue is good and there was a pretty chandelier in there.

Irving plaza is a great small venue to see a concert, easy to get to, hotels near by, and pleasant staff.... worth the weekend trip into NYC!

The best way I can think to describe this place is comfortable 'back-alley' theatre - and that's not a bad thing. However, I went for Hillsong on Sunday and left disappointed. I arrived half an hour early, having chosen this venue over Playstation Theatre for church, waited in the queue and then got in to unfavourable seats on the balcony.... More

Went to see the Kaiser Chiefs here in May 2015, venue isn't large but that's great in my opinion, we were upstairs in the VIP section and had a great view with plenty of space. Band were great, service was great, venue was great. No more to say really!

My husband and I recently visited the plaza and enjoyed our concert. They have a VIP section which is soooooo worth the money! The VIP is upstairs, with perfect views and away from the huge crowd downstairs (which is standing room only). The VIP section allowed perfect views of the artist, we were first in the building access, and we... More

Recently dropped by to see one of my favorite artists at the venue. The place was sold-out so I expected a large crowd. However, I didn't expect the stage to be small in the sense that everyone jammed to the front in order to see the artist. However, it provided an intimacy that went along with the performer's tour, which... More

On October 23rd my husband and I went to see Estopa at Irving Plaza. I saw many concerts there back in the day, but the place has gone downhill. I have no intention of ever stepping foot in that venue again. To begin with the concert was said to begin at 11:30. We arrived at 11:10 and went to get... More

Great place to see up-and-coming bands in a venerable venue that's held up over time. Saw the Front Bottoms there, and the place was rocking!

We attended Hillsong church here while living in the city, at this time the church was occupying 2 different venues, but primarily Irving Plaza. The venue is very well kept, & full of history. A very unique experience! It is a two story building, and will fit a few hundred people. If you're planning on attending a service here I... More
