Came with no reservation just 30 min before the show, and was put on standby list at the door. We were quite a bunch on standby and they let quite many of us in! So that was no problem! Cellphones needs to be put in...More

We went with 4 colleagues from work and it was the best Sunday brunch ever. The comedians were all very funny and we had an absolute amazing time. Just when the show was about to be over Dave CHAPPELLE came in and did 30 mins...More

This is a definite for visitors to New York. Friendly staff, the shows we saw were hilarious and a variety of comedy styles. It is a friendly crowd, drinks are reasonably priced - it is worth noting that there is a two item minimum per...More

No photos here because there is a stitch no cellphone rule. Good crowd, cold beer, lots of laughs but Chris Turner’s freestyle rap stole the night! Worth the show admission on its own. The man is a genius.

This was my 4th time here, and it seems to keep getting even more popular. Reservations were sold out weeks in advance, so we got in the standby line at 7:15 for the 8:45 show. We just barely got in, so go as early as...More

The Comedy Central takes reservations but...if you don’t get them you are almost sure to get in if you show up out front about 45 minutes to an hour before the show and get in the “stand by” line. They take your name and after...More

We didn't stop laughing the whole time. Had Michael Che of SNL drop in to do a set. Was a great stop on our NYC trip.

We booked the comedy cellar because we always wanted to see a comedy show in New York. We expected it would be fun but didn’t anticipate seeing so many truly talented comedians. We also didn’t expect to have some already famous and well known comedians...More

If you enjoy stand up comedy, get a reservation for an evening at the Comedy Cellar. You won't regret it. No matter which comedian takes the stage you will surely laugh until your belly hurts.

We had seen the Comedy Cellar in movies and TV shows, so we decided we had to go on our recent trip. Definitely get reservations early if you plan to go to a show. We had reservations for the 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. shows,...More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.

I doubt that your luggage would be allowed in. Cell phones are bagged to prevent recording shows. The place is very tight on space.

I have been on a Saturday night and as long as you have a reservation you should be good! Friends who have gone said that all the shows are great.
