All the comedians were so funny. Everyone laughed a lot. Also the prices are fine and the amount of food is surprisingly plenty. You are seated a little too tight with other people though but if you don't mind it it even makes the place funnier.

Memorable experience at this iconic comedy club. We had to wait on standby for tickets and were so glad we did because it was such a hilarious, fun night. Amazing staff that are really attentive despite it being packed out and everything seems to work really efficiently. So great to be in a space surrounded by people where cell phones... More

An amazing night (once again) at the Celler. The atmosphere, the comedians and it not expensive at all. And this evening they gave us something extra, Chris Rock. We´ll be back.

Great club! We had a great time at the comedy cellar. We went on a Monday and still saw great comics. Drinks were good too. Must go!

When you imagine NYC comedy clubs, this is what comes to mind. Underground location with wall to wall people. Good service, decent comics (the ones we saw this month were just ok) and a good neighborhood for drinks or dinner after.

We reserved over the net, received a confirmation and arrived 15 mins before start to be seated in the front row. Didn't expect that. Very polished & hilarious comics including the MC which kept us laughing for 90 mins over some reasonably priced cocktails & friendly service. Not to be missed.

I went there with my friend on Saturday, September 10, show at 10:30PM (weekend in NYC trip). We did not have tickets (I tried to make reservation day ahead, nothing was available), but since one couple left the show before it started, they let us in (obviously we paid entrance fee - 20$, beers in the range of 8-9$). Knowing... More

Really enjoyed the show but you are a bit shoe-horned into the place. There's a two drink minimum which was a challenge for such a short period of time. We'd go again.

There is a two drink/item minimum per person once the show starts. The comics we saw were very funny, and made the entire experience excellent. Check the website for the nightly lineup.

Arguably the best comedy club in the country, certainly the best one in NYC. Forget that you saw the sign on the opening credits of Louie, that's just flash. The substance of the club is the reason to go. You will literally NEVER see a bad show there. Doesn't matter if it's Tuesday night at 11 pm or Friday prime... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
