What a fun bar! Downstairs they sing songs and the staff performs, upstairs is a casual vibe with fantastic and friendly bartenders and there is a quaint cabaret space to see performances. They even have drag shows most nights of the week!
My mother and her boyfriend invited me to a bar at Saturday night, the place was very nice, the staff were charming and the service was great. I asked for a cocktail which is not on the menu and the nice girl-bartender made it gladly....More
Ammmmmazing piano bar, comedy, singing! The staff are so friendly and genuine which is hard to find around the city. The music kept going all night long and drinks are served quickly and reasonably priced. No cover either. We couldn’t afford a Broadway show but...More
Be careful with this place. It’s one of those traps where they force you to pay for expensive drinks when you go support your friends in shows there. They don’t even have options for people that don’t drink. No tea coffee, iced tea, not even...More
We always come here when in NYC. Just love the atmosphere and the singing is amazing. This time, so many straight couples means the vibe of the venue is changed. Still a good night but a more cosmopolitan crowd than I had seen before, but...More
I've been going to The Duplex for years. Went to the Upstairs bar where there's ALWAYS good music AND fun videos. HOWEVER the last time we went I was charged $13.50 for a Cosmo which was served in a small glass AND not even a...More
Usually one of my must goes!
Walked in tonight and “T-Rex” held a sign in my face about min two drinks! She was one of the worst waitresses I have had at the duplex. Shame it is such a fun place .... usually!!
I had come here for many years whenever I was in New York. It WAS the best gay singalong bar in the village.
Now straight couples are gathering there to watch gays in their habitats like in the zoo. Gay were absolutely The minority there....More
I was waiting for my wife to finish shopping so popped into the Piano Bar. It was soon rocking with a great atmosphere. Very rare for me to feel so relaxed but everyone was so fun and friendly. I was calling my wife to tell...More
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
