We purposely planned to go to this bar and we were not disappointed. Fantastic service, friendly atmosphere. So nice that you got pizza in for the customers, which was so tasty. My wife and I had such a great time there. So thank you.

This was my second time at Cubby Hole- what's intoxicating about the bar is not the alcohol, rather the crowd that greets you. The other regulars and tourists who create the atmosphere there make it an interesting village trek every time I go out in the city. Drinks are just like at any bar- not cheap, but not crazy expensive. The atmosphere, however is priceless.

after a long day walking my partner and I stumbled across this bar. We went in as it seemed buzzing . There was a really great atmosphere (about 5pm) There was music playing - all great tunes . I was a little perturbed to see only one barman covering such a packed bar. However, he was one of the best barmen Ive seen, doing multiple orders, and I never had to wait long for a drink. He recommended the "toasted lager" - great beer. After a while he shouted out "free shots" - then pizza was delivered to the venue for everyone. It was also happy hour meaning the drinks were the cheapest in New York. We were only going to stay for one, but we were in there for about 3 rounds. I have to say this was the best bar and atmosphere for all the bars in our trip. I would strongly recommend popping in - and we are not members of the LGBT community but felt welcome.

After doing some research into finding gay bars before our trip to New York, my girlfriend and I read about cubbyhole and decided to visit. Oh what a great decision!! The bar is in such a lovely location, we had a lovely walk finding it. Inside it is tight knit but this definitely adds to the authenicity of the place. Decorated with all kinds of hanging stuff from the ceiling, we were amazed and loved it. Spoke to a couple of the locals inside - also very nice. And then ordered a couple of drinks off of the specials menu at the bar and as the bar tender checked our ID’s, she realised the next day was my girlfriends birthday, so gave us the drinks for free - a very kind gesture on our first night in the city, so nice and kind of her! We spoke about going back to the bar during our trip but unfortunately didn’t make it back. However, when we do come back to the city, we’ll be sure to come back to Cubbyhole!
