My 8-year old loved rowing us around the lake! The lake is a bit crowded close to the launch pad, but once you get away, there's plenty of space for kids to take a turn rowing. It was a nice diversion from walking and site-seeing!

This was the most favourite part of my trip to NYC. Going underneath the lovely bridge and then seeing the great views of the skyline in the main part of the water was great. It took a while to get used to the dynamics of the boat but definitely worth the money.

This review is not for the restaurant but for the boat rentals. I cannot recommend this activity enough! Renting a boat is so cheap! It is only $15 per boat for an hour, which is more than enough time. The views from the boat are stunning. You are surrounded by Central Park and can see skyscrapers in the background. The... More

The Loeb Boathouse (there is a separate listing with reviews under just The Boathouse) located in the heart of Central Park boasts an amazing view of the lake where you can watch individuals boating and see the skyline. The inside restaurant (a beautiful porch area) offers a break from heat or cold weather. Good lunch options. Automatic gratuity added of... More

The view is iconic so you expect the food to real suffer. It doesn't. Roast pork was tremendous as was the sea bass and the double slider burger. Not pricey really either. About what you should expect from the location. Great way to spend lunch and soak up the terrace and the boathouse feel. I'll talk about this for a... More

I had a great time with my friend. At first, we thought the pound is gonna be so small and just enough for us to hang around for some pictures. Turns out there is another side of the pound and the views is good. It is just $15/20 for an hour. I think it is worth it. It is fun... More

Sitting in the middle of Central Park on one of the lakes sits the Boathouse. It's a lovely place to visit at lunch time to get away from the hustle and bustle of NY. It opens in the morning which is mainly for bike hire and coffee with the rush happening more between 12 - 2pm. There is a full... More

The food pricing and ambiance are well worth trip however, their needs to be more bathrooms and an easier system then waiting on line to rent a boat. Perhaps reservation desk or pagers.

Whether for brunch or dinner, in Summer or Winter, the Boathouse is just perfectly located. Row on the pond in summer while you wait for your table, or sip champagne at the bar in winter. Food is always great and there's always a great buzz. Easy to get to whether you're on the east or west side of the park.

We just had drinks here but it's a great spot! Have to be quick getting a table outside on the lake as it's very popular! Good spot to relax after walking around the park and grab a drink or hire a row boat after or before, it's just next door
