The theatre was beautiful, and it was nice to be able to queue up inside the building! There are not enough bars which means long queues, and I missed the first few minutes of the second act because there wasn’t a call bell to say...More
My wife and I visited the theatre to see The Illusionists and were extremely pleased with both the show and the surroundings. A major plus, especially on the rainy day we visited, was being able to line up indoors. You generally have to wait outside...More
Went to see The Illusionist on a recent trip to NYC. The show was very entertaining and had something for everyone. It’s not a kids based show but was definitely okay for kids to attend. Younger kids may be a little bored as it is...More

Irving Berlins White Christmas - Marquis Theatre (3 Replies)
We are thinking of going to see this on our trip to the City this Dec. I'm finding it hard to see photos of the Marquis Theatre...and so wondered if anyone could tell me if there are any 'bad' seats, or at least seats best avoided. Also, as is always the way, we have just missed pre-sale discounts on the tickets by a few days. Is it likely that we would be able to get the tickets cheaper closer to the time...or is this a likely sell out? Thanks again.

At this point in time - take any tickets you can get. Friends purchased tickets during the pre-sale and they did not have much choice then. Check out the seating chart supplied by the whiz.... Good luck. Poppa

BooHoo! No NYC Crimbo trip for me this year... (2 Replies)
:O( So an unmissable deal for Christmas accom. in London came into my mail box today. Vvvt. After some discussion with SWMBO we decided we should have a cheaper year and do London instead of NYC. Don't get me wrong, I love London...but I was on a hat-trick of NYC Christmas visits, and well, *cry*. :) On the upside, our whole trip will be around the cost of only one flight to the Apple. On the downside, I had penciled in such festivities as Polar Express Orchestral performance at Carngie...More

Dinner and/or drink near Marquis theatre??? (6 Replies)
looking for a great reccomendation for a good place to eat and get drinks near the Marquis Theatre. We have booked a show at 8:00and can't decide if we should eat before or after. We like many food types and are looking for something we can not get a home. We are looking for something not too cheap but not too pricey. Somewhere in the middle. Any reccomendations??
