We were not dissappointed by selecting Mary Poppins to see while visiting NYC. Our first day in the city we took a chance by going to TKTS to buy tickets. I thought it would be difficult, but in fact it was very easy to get what we wanted. The next time I would at to see where the seats were... More

I wanted my family to see at least 1 Broadway show in their lives so we searched for affordable shows. My 2 teenaged sons wanted to see Jersey Boys but the most affordable was Mary Poppins. I'm so glad that we chose Mary Poppins. I've been in fancier theatres but the Amsterdam which is lovely, was great because it's structured... More

A very nice production. If you expect to see a stage reproduction of the movie, you won't. It is more faithful to the book, but still has the popular songs. Exceptional lead playing Mary, and Bert was equally good. Fine cast, nice sets and dance numbers. Easy to get half price tickets at TKTS day of the show.

We saw Mary Poppins here -- loved the old-style decorations of the theater. Beautiful! Its location right on Times Square can't be beat.

Lots of detail on the pillars and stage. Very impressive. Something to see at every turn. The acoustics are wonderful for Mary Poppins. The seats in the balcony section are very close. They make it hard for tall people to remain comfortable during a performance, but the seats on the end are okay.

What a wonderful experience! The theatre is more than 100 years old and is so beautiful inside. Perfect setting for Mary Poppins. We had great seats - orchestra - row L. Central, up front but not too far front that you have to look up to see the stage. The orchestra and music was wonderful. The performance was amazing. Costumes,... More

My husband and I took our two children to see Mary Poppins. Wow! The show was fantastic, loved by all of us. The theatre itself has so much charm in it's appearance and datedness. The usher that seated the people infront of us had a great knowledge of the theatre's past and regaled us with some tales of it's history,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
