First time ever in a Comedy Club but will now be a regular. All the comedians were either almost stars, or very well known (Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Colin Quinn) and all were great. My jaws hurt from laughing almost constantly through the night.

Went to an 1130 show. The comedians and host were fantastic. The service was fine. It's crowded in there and our waitresses was mediocre, but the great comedy was well worth it.

Been to the comedy Cellar many times so we wanted to check out the secondary location. This is right around the corner from the original, so basically the same spot. This one has a band set up, maybe a bit bigger, but overall looks the same. We sat right by the stage and enjoyed some up and coming acts and... More

Being huge fans of stand up comedy, we had to check out the Comedy Cellar. We decided to try their new room, as the showtimes worked best with our itinerary. The room looks identical to the original, and there is a great atmosphere. The band was also very impressive. Gary Gulman is by far one of my favorite comedians and... More

Amazing. Did not stop laughing all night. Honestly. 5 incredible comics at the 1130 show. Glad we booked ahead. Best comedy club ever. Went to carolines the following night and totally regretted it - did not laugh once. This place rocked tho..

We went to the Village Underground on a Thursday night. What a great show and also a great venue. They are the sister venue to the Comedy Cellar around the corner which I'm told is a smaller place. I can't believe how great the line up was. All of the headliners were very funny and there were 5 or 6... More

The live band are an absolute must. This is the second time I've been to watch them - just fabulous. Cocktails are so so but the atmosphere and friendliness of people there more than make up for that. My friend left early and I felt more than happy to stay until 2am without her. Make time for this one on... More

There were 6 acts. First two, good, One very good, one a little uncomfortable and two of them appeared to have no planned material/act and were dragging it out to fill time. The audience member hook-ups crap, who cares, not clever, not funny, waste of my time. They needed help from the MC to get anywhere. We enjoy comedy clubs... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
