Saw the Tiger Lillies, who were absolutely amazing as always. Even Joe's Pub couldn't ruin the show, although they certainly tried really, really hard. After we sat there ignored for almost an hour, watching them constantly walk right in front of us over and over...More

Great performance space with a huge lobby. Stage is good, but some outside sounds do come in. The show was really, really good. Bowery Boys are super! Drinks are highly overpriced.

I went to Joe's pub to see a singing show. Excellent venue, highly professional set-up. Cover charge is reasonable ($30). However, as ordering food (or two drinks) is mandatory I went for the shrimp tacos. They were minuscule with hardly traces of...shrimps. Menus is expensive...More

Visited Joe’s Pub for the first time to see Nick Fradiani play. The seating, lighting and sound in the theater were outstanding. We sat at a round table close to the stage with an excellent waitress who took care of us during the show. We...More

I have been here several times. The entertainment always superb, and there's a variety of acts/performances to choose from. Love the venue with excellent drinks and food menu.

This is a cozy and intimate venue. Totally worth seeing a show there if you can. I would head back there in a heartbeat to catch some jazz. The minimum purchases are kind of a bummer, but that is pretty normal in NYC.

We came here for a jazz concert and had a delightful time. We came early and ate dinner in the Library, which was fabulous (received a 10% discount since we were seeing a show). They have a delicious beet salad. The concert space was intimate,...More

Small cabaret like venue with different performers nightly and food is served at your table. There is a minimum of $12 of either beverages or food. Large variety of special cocktails they serve staters, small plates, entrees and desserts. Food is price, but good.

Joe's Pub (5 Replies)
Made reservations at Joe's to see Chrisette Michele April2. Did this on the spur of the moment. Hope it wasn't a mistake? Thanks for the help.

I've only been to one show but really enjoyed it. It's a small venue, table seating and then a bar in the back. The sound was good. And the food was, too (I was surprised by this). I always look at their schedule because I would like to go again--haven't been able to make it happen, though. If you're asking about Chrisette Michele I can't help you because I don't know who she(?) is.

Joe's Pub (4 Replies)
I'm coming to New York for the first time in over 40 yrs. By a happy coincidence, a singer I like very much is performing at Joe's Pub during the time I'll be there. I've read reviews about the place and they run the gamut from "great place" to "the bouncers are pretty rude and I'll never go back" and "you have to pay extra to sit down." If I have a ticket to the show I should be O.K., right? Would someone be willing to tell me the best way to approach this? Do I ask for dinner reservations...More

No food reservations needed. You do need a ticket. If you sit at a table there's a per-person or per-table food minumum. There's no minimum at the bar but it's at the back of the room and you'll be hearing drink orders through the show. Dress spiffy. This is not a jeans-tennies-fanny pack kind of place. Joe's Pub around 2 miles from Times Square. The walk is safe at night.
