I absolutely love this place. Living out west there are few places to go where you can dress up a bit and have quality drinks with your friends. They say the dress code is business casual but you will often find a few in the...More

If I dreamt about a cigar bar, it would probably look like Carnegie club. The place is old school and classy. It feels like a bit of a time warp inside. Classic colors and decorations throughout. (I’ll bring my top hat next time.) The inside...More

I believe it won't be possible for 18YO to enter, but to be sure you have to ask the club.

Cab Rides (13 Replies)
What's the shortest distance you've ever taken a cab? So I know this sounds like a dumb question but here's the scenario...hotel is on Park @56th...restaurant is on 65th between Park & Madison...So we're talking 8 1/2 blocks. Is it too goofy to take a cab that distance? We have a very full day and tight schedule before dinner and I'm thinking of walking back by way of Central Park with a stop at the Carnegie Club (I know it's a round about way back to the hotel).

You can take a cab for 2 blocks, they do not care, but with NYC traffic being what it is, it may be faster to walk. That being said, if you want to go 9 blocks, do so, it is not an issue.

Carnegie Club Sinatra Show (0 Replies)
I will be traveling solo to NYC in two weeks, and am interested in going to the Carnegie Club for Saturday's Sinatra show. A few questions: 1. Will I feel out-of-place attending the show as a single woman? Since it is a Cigar Club, is it also a predominately male crowd? 2. How is the seating arranged? Round tables for two or four? 3. What is the $10 cigar fee all about? I've read reviews where guys bring their won cigars -- does the fee permit you to smoke? Is cigarette smoking...More
