One of my fave places in NYC for a show. I've seen musical acts, comedy, and other traveling shows. The interior is stunning. It's probably the most beautiful theater in NYC. The seats could probably use some new cushions but that's to be expected...still more...More

If you get the opportunity to see a show at the Beacon Theater, do so. Classic architecture, comfortable seating, good sight lines and great acoustics. What else can I say?

More intimate than garden or barclays. Steep seating so good views and convenient restaurants in the area

Saw Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds here in June. The theater is beautifully restored, the sound was amazing, and the staff were not only very professional and courteous, but really friendly too. Great place!

We always enjoy the shows we see a the Beacon Theater. It is in my daughter's upper west side neighborhood and in walking distance to great restaurants and bars.

Upper West Side
Nestled between Central Park and the Hudson River, the
Upper West Side offers iconic architecture and a
quiet, residential respite from the buzzing energy of
downtown. Along Central Park West are many of the
city’s most iconic apartment buildings, as well as the
American Museum of Natural History, which has been
welcoming visitors to its historic exhibit halls for
over 140 years. Culture fans will love Lincoln Center,

I've never seen him in person and probably would never but comedy shows are not my thing. I would suggest calling the theater and see if they can help you. I personally would not take my children to see him.

When I am going to a gig at The Beacon Theater I like to go to Malachy's Donegal Inn on West 72nd Street. No live music but a great wee bar.
