We visited here because my boyfriend is a big fan of The Beatles. What a let down. It is full of people trying to sell their artwork of John Lennon and strumming their (untuned) guitars. Oh yeah, and everyone trying to get their photo without...More

A must see for any John Lennon/Beatles fan. The emotional feelings experienced on my visit are difficult to describe... just an emotional, heart warming experience. If you are in NYC you should not miss it!

Lots to see in Central Park but don't miss the strawberry fields memorial to john Lennon. It's a quiet spot in the park surrounded by trees opposite from the flats he was taken from us. It's a mosaic memorial with flowers encircling the word imagine....More

The gardens around the Imagine Memorial are very well designed and maintained, so it's a pleasure to stroll around. The mosaic memorial attracts too many people, so the peace and quiet is disturbed by crowds and buskers. Enjoy the gardens.

On our way into the park we happen to stumble upon this Lennon Memorial. Very crowded and many people trying to get a picture with the "Imagine" written on the floor while the rest stands in a circle around them rushing to be next.

Located on west side in the Central Park near Dakota House, it is a circular mosaic design on the ground with "Imagine". You can further move in the park to see other attractions.

There's always a crowd of people at this site designated as a memorial in John Lennon's memory. But sort of turned into a tourist stop with photos taken with folks standing on his "Imagine' mosaic. I guess it's ok but wish people would be a...More

I liked the tranquility of the place but was disappointed, that it really isn't more than a single big mosaic reading 'Imagine'.

OK I'm not really a Lennon fan but my wife wanted to see it. So we went. It's basically a mosaic saying imagine with benches to contemplate and that's it. See photo. If you're there and want to see it, then do. Otherwise spend your...More
