Description:

World Yacht brought the luxury dinner cruise business to New York City in...

World Yacht brought the luxury dinner cruise business to New York City in 1984 and became the vanguard of experiential dining, hosting the sociocultural luminaries of the 20th and 21st century. Our vessels set the standard, both in terms of excellence and experience, for the ensuing three decades and created many enduring memories in the process.

Today, both the market and our customer is evolving. At the same time, the neighborhood around us - the crossroads of Times Square, the High Line and Hudson Yards - is undergoing a massive transformation. As a result, the time has come for us to innovate once again, to reinvent experiential dining and, in so doing, make a new identity for World Yacht's home at Pier 81, as a social, culinary, and entertainment destination for New York City.

A definite must do. You get to see Manhattan by night and the Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island. The food and service was excellent. Our server Michael made his special non-alcoholic fruit punch which the kids loved. The price includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. The skirt steak and branzino (sea bass) were both tasty. A good selection of... More

I booked this tour off a recommendation from a friend and made the booking before we went via email. The woman I had correspondence with was very efficient and patient with my questions. One thing I would say is to double check the boarding time for your cruise as when I booked it was different to the website and when... More

The perfect day is exactly what it was, a relaxing cruise with family and friends. There is nothing as exciting as a few hours on the water sailing around the city. The breeze on your face and the wind blowing through your hair, ahhh it takes me to another time and place. I could do it at least once a... More

Excellent view, fun atmosphere, good music and delicious food. The bar on top of yacht allows for some beautiful sunset view and great cocktails. We were able to meet great guests and dance night away. Book early for summer months!

We booked a dinner cruise for our last night in New York , thinking it would be a great way to finish our New York holiday and get some night shots of the New York sky line. However it was the first few days of the relaunch of this boat, and it has been redecorated beautifully. There were only about... More

I have had the pleasure of taking the world yacht cruise yearly with the American Scandinavian Society. Although this year the weather was rainy, there was plenty of sunshine aboard the ship. Karl the bartender was excellent and Margie made sure our needs were met. Jackie organized all facets of the cruise from set up to food and everything was... More

I am trying to book Dinner on the World Yacht. But, despite having been told by 'phone that the ship re-opens on 1st May, there are no websites allowing bookings? Not even their own website allows any bookings. It is so frustrating! Has anyone else had any luck?

My husband and had our wedding aboard the Duchess in April 2015 and it was magical. The day was sparkling and the staff was great! We worked with Amanda DeValle who was awesome and so understanding! She made sure the entire night and wedding planning process ran smoothly and it did! The service was spectacular and the staff was so... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
